Monday, July 30, 2012. Scallion Dip with Cucumbers. 1 1/4c Fage fat free plain Greek Yogurt. 1 large young green onion. Fresh ground sea salt and pepper. Slice the green onion thin. Friday, October 5, 2012. Salted Salmon with Greens and Grilled Seasonal Vegetables. It's nearing the end of grilling season here in the north, so we've tried to take advantage of the last good month of weather. This time around, we threw on some fresh veggies and wild-caught salmon. Monday, October 1, 2012. Easy&#...

It’s an outlet, mental exercise, and fun, especially when there are conversations to be had. I’ve heard people snidely (whiplash) imply that blogging is just a way for attention whores to satisfy their egos and clog the internet with the unimportant ramblings of nobodies. I say, write! But in the end, we are our stories. I’m still a work in progress. Trying to get and ...I still...

TwentySevenGrams: New Approach
http://27g.blogspot.com/2014/08/new-approach.html
Wednesday, August 6, 2014. So, I'm working at this thing called healthy living. It's rough. I'm not always on track. (In fact, I'm often off track.). This blog will have to evolve with me or go away—so I'm gonna go with evolve! For now I'll be journaling, and sharing recipes, and they won't all be 27g, but I promise they'll all be healthy. That said:. Here's what that salad consisted of (apologies, I forgot to take pictures. I know, it's shameful.):. 1c red leaf lettuce. 1/4c shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Vinegar Kale and Beet Greens. This recipe features three of the best lessons I've learned from my family regarding food:. Lesson 1: Making complicated dishes is the easiest way to accidentally add calories, sugars and other unhealthy extras to your meals. So keep it simple. (from my nutrition-savvy brother). Lesson 2: Add vinegar. It's delicious. That's a straight-up fact. (from my momma). All you need is:. White or apple cider vinegar. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
