Say what you mean and mean what you say. May 26, 2012. He was the best companion anyone could ever ask for for well over 15 years. He was independent, codependent (or was that me? Whimsical, incredibly wise and in fact he had his own alter ego online known as Shabba who actually performed on live casts, and as you all know, he was also a columnist on this blog for Between The Whiskers. I'd had him since he was a scrappy, scrawny, flea-infested stray kitten, with ears as big as his heart. This comment has...

Jacaranda-palooza: Jacaranda-palooza, part 7
http://uselessdoug-jacaranda.blogspot.com/2006/10/jacaranda-palooza-part-7.html
Saturday, October 21, 2006. Jacaranda-palooza, part 7. Happy Wow-the-Sky-is-Hazy Day (otherwise known as the day after July 4th). Pulling the jacaranda photographing project (see the last week and a half's postings if you haven't already) into the topical (yesterday's festivities), we begin today's pictures with one including fireworks. You're thinking, Cool fireworks, but where's the jacaranda? It's the silhouetted tree at the right edge of the shot, at a block party in Inglewood. I do get around.).

Say what you mean and mean what you say. Jan 3, 2011. Suppose I was a big fan of alcohol-which I'm not-but say we suppose so. I would most certainly be inclined to transform Sarah Palin's Alaska. Into a drinking game. It's simple: flip to TLC and every time she utters the word "Alaska," go ahead and take a shot. You'll be half in the bag by the first commercial break. Many happy returns | An Alien Mind
https://analienmind.wordpress.com/2015/05/18/many-happy-returns
The mission log of an alien on earth. An acquaintance has begun having “episodes.” That’s British for “heart attack.” It’s not his first encounter with such issues. He had some very large number of bypasses more than a decade ago, and he adopted a super-healthy lifestyle. So the last decade has been a gift, really. He has been living on borrowed time. We visited him in the hospital and brought him a “get well” card. Darling wife asked me what we should write in it. Oh well, at least he got the joke.
