Fishing facilities are available through the voluntary association to paid-up members / residents who have own entrance keys. Decent size carps, yellowfish, muddies, barbels etc. are being caught. (We support the practice of catch and release). Kindly e-mail pictures of fish caught to abri@vaaloewer.co.za. Open parks across the town have been left undeveloped so that when the town is fully developed, there will be open green belt areas. Many different bird species have been identified in this area.

There are no restrictions as to when to develop your stand. Before any building work may commence, council must approve building plans and register with the NHBRC (National Home Builders Regulation Council). Owner / builder to install suction tank. Owner responsible to have contents pumped out and removed. The Vaaloewer Community Hall is available to the community and may be rented for private functions etc. RATES and TAXES: AVERAGE BETWEEN R280-00 TO R500-00 PER MONTH (VACANT LAND).

Having been joint owner of Vaaloewer Town (fully proclaimed) until all 1,000 stands had been sold, I must warn you, from first hand experience, that once you become involved with Vaaloewer, you get Vaaloewer in your veins, for which there is no cure. Vaaloewer is a picturesque fully proclaimed town next to the main Vaal River, halfway between Vanderbijlpark and Parys, about 80km. from Johannesburg. You will find Vaaloewer residents most wonderfull, relaxed and accommodating. Discover and enjoy Vaaloewer!

26 44'24.05 S 27 36'16.72 E. Vaaloewer is situated about 80 km. south of JHB. About 30 km. west of Vanderbijlpark and about 30 km. North East of Parys. Take the N1 South from JHB, go through Grassmere tollgate. Take the Potchefstroom Vanderbijlpark off-ramp 40km. further (BP on Right). At stop sign turn right towards Potchefstroom. Find Vaaloewer 11km. further on your left-hand side at the Parys Potchefstroom Split. Turn left to Lindequesdrift and immediately left into Vaaloewer Avenue.
