Vegan Duck on a bike. Tuesday, 23 June 2015. Hiking/Climbing/Biking in Richmond Hills. I took another opportunity to go cycling as the weather was forecast sunny and clear over the weekend. Sounds all too familiar this, but on my second day it rained and was cold, where was that sun? Where am I going? The first day was a nice easy-going ride into the hills to stay at Hacket hut, a pleasant gently sloping uphill ride through bush and over cable bridges (these ones where wide enough for me and my bike).

Since leaving my humble caravan abode in Matahua, near Nelson I've acquired a fantastic job and with a few weeks to spare before I started this job I thought I'd transport myself to Glenorchy by bicycle. This was accomplished in a very round-about way. Resting for lunch on the first day just before Perry Saddle. Covered in bush and enjoying the sunshine. More bush and well managed track.
