Even on free range farms, these animals are murdered as soon as they reach an economic weight, or stop producing milk/ eggs. Even in the most ‘humane’ conditions, one fundamental question remains. How can we justify treating animals as commodities, as nothing more than property? To learn how easy being vegan can be.

Animal Writes: The Great Debate: To call yourself a vegetarian or vegan – PART II
http://studentsforanimalrights.blogspot.com/2010/04/great-debate-to-call-yourself.html
A coalition of animal rights activists. Wednesday, April 07, 2010. The Great Debate: To call yourself a vegetarian or vegan – PART II. It brought up a lot of questions for me about humans relationship with wild animals. And where/if we should draw the line. Follows the story of a lonely orca whale who was either lost or abandoned. And nod his head encouragingly for pats, and even play tug of war or fetch. Or getting his tongue rubbed. Close to a boat's propeller. To the area where his pod might ...
