We had lunch at Ardy and Ed's followed by some time at the Omro Pool. Tiz passed the swimming test by being able to swim free style for 50 yards so she was able to swim and play in the deep water as well as go down the big slides and off the boards. This morning while dropping off the girls at school, I had, what I thought, was an interesting short conversation with a lady. Since there are sooo many more vehicles dropping off kids in the morning, the school started having parent volunteers help out in the morning during the drop-off time. Today was a beautiful fall day and according to the weatherman, the last nice weekend before the dreaded cold and snow set in. Ugh! I wish we could have two more months of this crisp fall weather. Today John and I took, what will more than likely be, our last bike ride of the season. We chose the Bugline since we had not ridden it at all this season yet and we heard it was now paved. Living the good life in Grandmaville. Monday, July 27, 2015. The Oak Leaf Trail Revisited. On Saturday, John and I rode the Oak Leaf Trail from Bay View to South Milwaukee. We have ridden this trail two previous times, once in 2006 and then again in 2011. It was time to ride this trail again. We parked at Humboldt Park near the bathrooms as usual. The Flip Flop Girls. Thursday, August 6, 2015. First Day of School. Today marks the start of yet another school year for the girls. I now have a 6th grader, a 3rd grader and a 2nd grader! It's so hard to believe that Allyson has finally reached middle school, but I guess you can't stop time from marching on :). Here are a few pictures from this morning. I told them to be silly . . .
