Tuesday, January 20, 2009. January 15, 2008. I had a bad day before this day even started. Yesterday, not one but both of my patients cancelled! I am worried about this semester just for this reason. I don't feel like we even have a resource list to draw from, and by the emails I'm seeing I am wondering what is happening with the patients. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. We were able to clean and polish today. It was really fun - and I was able to do it well! Joni shoed us how to identify the correct working end of the scaler by using the end of the h6/7 away from the surface of the tooth it automatically makes that 70-80 degree angle. Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Half my day was a give-away. I had a patient who had had surgery 2 weeks ago on his vertebrae. After waiting until 9:20 to find out his Dr. office wouldn't let him be treated I just polished and gave him fluoride -bummer! Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Sept 19, 2008. It was a good clinic day. Monday, April 6, 2009. I was just looking at my blog and it makes me feel happy :). I have been so busy I missed the opportunity to celebrate my last mock board experience! I am so proud! I passed. yeah! If I would have known, I would have said Hell no,.(and picked nursing! We have truly worked our butts off, and yet everytime we turn around there's one more big mountain to climb. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Today was a great day. I had a class IV. I finished 3 quads and gave her 8 different injections. I am so glad I finished her. She had a lot of supragingival calculus too. It was so fun that I put down my ultrasonic and just handscaled for fun :) Sick huh? Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Today was the best day! And Jen said "Yes, couldn't you tell that I wasn't going to let you." (Her sense of humor kills me! I scaled 3 quads and only missed one tiny spot! Sunday, October 5, 2008.

Friday, February 6, 2009. I think it's so great that we have a few because the first one was pretty much a blur. Mine didn't go as well as I had hoped. On a positive note though, it was a great learning experience and every time I learn something it's one thing that I know I won't do wrong on game day :) I had calculus clicks and that is something I will just have to work on, I used my pt's x-ray's from the dentist. Thursday, January 8, 2009. I am feeling that way about my posture and back. It was hard to transition back into that chair for long periods of time! January 13, 2009 at 5:37 PM. I agree about the posture. Professor Bossenberger went around clinic today telling people to sit up straight and not strain their necks. I think I need to pay more attention to how I sit in order to prevent me from hurting myself more than just a sore back after clinic! January 20, 2009 at 2:29 PM. Hiking in St. George.

Monday, March 31, 2008. I feel much better today. I scaled my 1b, used her as my test, and did 3 sealants and passed off 3 PE's. Yes! I was able to reach all my goals for the day. Tamara was a TA in our clinic and was a great help she watched me scale and told me to try my montana jack which was better than my SN 135 that I was trying to use. I was able to get interproximal deeper and it was smaller so it was even better on the anteriors. She said I was doing really well. Yeah! Wednesday, March 26, 2008.
