In my column on Monday, I wrote about Macon native Callie Thompson having a small speaking part in the movie Happy Feet.’ It has been No.1 at the box office for the past two weeks. It’s an adorable animated film about a little penguin who cannot sing (that's how penguins find their soul mates) but instead learns to tap dance. Callie, 7, now lives in California with her parents, Brett and DeRynn hompson, and her brother, Carr. Both Callie and Carr are aspiring young actors.
