The View From the Sunroom. Ramblings of a wife, mom, artist, and follower of Jesus, trying to make a difference while I can. Friday, September 23, 2011. Experiment with baked donuts. So it wasn't a fail. but not a success either. However, as always, I used the recipe on the tins for the first try. I did substitute some whole wheat flour in, but I don't think that was the whole problem. They were just. not great. Not bad, but definitely not great. Problems with these donuts were:. Lower fat foods, recipes...

The View From the Sunroom. Ramblings of a wife, mom, artist, and follower of Jesus, trying to make a difference while I can. Monday, July 30, 2007. My husband and I are having a debate about the gender of this person. I have had the photo for awhile, and always thought it was a man. He instantly thought it was a woman. So please vote! Anyway, he/she is done! This was done with just the 5 warm grays, no mixing. I only used white at the very end, on the head wrap. Links to this post. An oldie but a goodie.

The View From the Sunroom. Ramblings of a wife, mom, artist, and follower of Jesus, trying to make a difference while I can. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Closing in on 47. I'll be 47 in a few months, and while I don't mind the number, there are certainly things about this lovely "middle age" that I could live without. (Guys, this isn't for you, although you might want to get your wife.). Check PMS-like symptoms not connected to anything whatsoever? The heat of the night. Slogging through the day. Until I...

The View From the Sunroom. Ramblings of a wife, mom, artist, and follower of Jesus, trying to make a difference while I can. Sunday, January 22, 2012. I have a dilemma. It's not really "my" dilemma, because it doesn't actually require much action on my part. It's probably more in the category of "things that make you go hmmm". (Who was that? What happened to him, anyway? Here's the thing. I enjoy cooking shows and blogs. I read The Pioneer Woman's. Oh my, lobster! I make regular food. I use a ton of ...

Update from the migraine war, plus… I’m OLD! | The View from the Sunroom

https://viewfromthesunroom.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/update-from-the-migraine-war-plus-im-old

Ramblings, recipes and tidbits from my brain to yours. The View from the Sunroom. Update from the migraine war, plus… I’m OLD! My birthday is April 15, and I’ll be 48. On the one hand, I don’t feel “old”, and I do think my generation is, in general younger at this age than our parents were. On the other hand, 48 is pretty close to half a century, and that seems. Better to think about that, I think. My mom and grandmother, Easter 2012. Appropriately, this image is from migraine-ista.blogspot.com. I know t...

Managing my Freak-Out | The View from the Sunroom

https://viewfromthesunroom.wordpress.com/2013/04/04/managing-my-freak-out

Ramblings, recipes and tidbits from my brain to yours. The View from the Sunroom. Given all I have to do, sitting here writing a blog post seems stupid. But writing calms me, and I need to spend at least a couple of hours editing this morning, so I’m writing to try to reach my happy place. Right now, that’s a stretch, but if I can reach my “not running away screaming” place, I’ll have accomplished something! Update from the migraine war, plus… I’m OLD! Life is never boring →. Life is never boring | The View from the Sunroom

https://viewfromthesunroom.wordpress.com/2013/04/18/life-is-never-boring

Ramblings, recipes and tidbits from my brain to yours. The View from the Sunroom. Life is never boring. I used to pray, every year on New Year’s Eve, for a boring year. I finally quit, because the prayer was never answered. A friend told me I’d be bored in a month, but I still would love to give it a try sometime! Even a month of “boring” would be a nice change…). Ryan will be graduating from college in May, and marrying in June. I’ll be taking our first official team trip to Andros in August. Time with ...

View from the Studio. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Leigh Werrell, Bettina Nelson and Mary Putman at Gross McCleaf Gallery. Beware the Bear, by Leigh Werrell. Leigh Werrell's paintings and Bettina Nelson's collages share the show's title of "A Likely Story," one of those clever word plays that has an ironic as well as earnest reading. Likely stories abound, and the seeking is a large part of the fun. It is why I write these occasional blog reviews. Leigh Werrell's paintings authentically and originally trac...

When you search for something on Google, at the upper right in the light blue bar there’s a note of the number of results Google found and how long it took them to process your search.
