Just a little journal of the little jaunts of our little family. March 18, 2015. Happy Happy Birthday MATTY dear! Happy Birthday to our Matty cakes! She got this awesome bright pink beanbag chair. Grandma Wells was in California so she sent Matty a package of treasures. She also got to be birthday captain at preschool- one of her very favorite things, not just because of the extra attention, but because I get to stay at preschool with her all morning. Especially when we played pass the package.

Just a little journal of the little jaunts of our little family. March 19, 2015. Every year we try to go to the Grand Canyon, well, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. And sometimes people come with us and sometimes it is just us. This year it was just us, and we were used to "us" so even though the kids wished their cousins could come, they are happy with us- which is a great blessing that I hope lasts a lifetime. It's upside down, but it says G DUB which is what the YM quorum calls George.

We did all the pre-ride training - learned the hand signals, and how to take care of our bikes, the only obstacle was getting across Riverside Drive with 5 crazy 9 year olds. Just a little journal of the little jaunts of our little family. March 20, 2015. Nothing can beat last year's Halloween, and this year didn't even come close! We were pretty chill this year. We even missed Grandma's birthday party. This was not Emily's costume, but her outfit for hippie day at school. I just think she looks adorable. Oh the pumpkin carving mess! Evan loves their guts! Of course we went to Thriller for Kyle's birthday. This year we took Maycee and Emily. Everyone loved Matty's coconuts!

Thursday, December 18, 2014. We had an impromptu ginger bread constructing for family home evening a couple of weeks ago. I didn't make it to the store, so we only had what was available in the pantry. But what was most important was that we had a great time. Molly and I worked together. We were more carefree with our design. Our roof caved and we turned it into the garage for Lucy and Daddy's house. Daddy and Lucy were far more careful and patient in their construction. Finished product. Beautiful.

Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Get your party on! We did, and we are all exhausted! Lucy loves birthday parties, and she is old enough that she has friends now to invite to a birthday party, so it was a must this year. She had a lot of fun picking out all of the decorations, party hats, party favors and so forth. I say she because we really did let her pick pretty much everything. The theme: Birthday party! We returned home to Koutiala on Monday, but I don't have any pictures from the rest of the week! We also celebrated Ian's 17th birthday this week, but we didn't take any pictures that day.
