Wednesday, December 23, 2009. We were fortunate enough to have another pool date with Aunt Lisa. It was hard to tell who had the most fun, Tysen swimming, or Paige playing with Lola the dog. I didn't capture it on camera but Paige would smile when Lola would lick her, it was pretty cute. I feel really guilty about not taking as many pictures of Paige doing things, like her first bath, so I had to at least get the classic "baby in sink" shot before she got too big! That's where snails go!

Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Today was a great day! It was the first day, post Paige, that I thought to myself “I’m Back! 8221; The first few weeks were crazy and just flew by so fast that I began to wonder when I would be back to normal. I invited over two friends and their children for lunch and a visit, and I actually pulled it off! Sunday, November 23, 2014. We had our first snow last night, and I feel fall blending into winter. Richness and bounty fill my life. The chaos of finishing my master's degree has paid off in a much more balanced life. I love having free time back. Monday, June 1, 2015. I have been employed as a child/adolescent outpatient counselor for nearly a year, and I have learned some lessons about listening. Being able to truly listen to another person is a skill that is developed through practice, and I have noticed when people around me don't have that skill when I feel unheard. Sometimes, my kids will say with frustration, "You're not listening to me! 3 State the Facts. This approach leaves a better chance of ending well. 4 Compliment and Express Love.
