For the love of eating. Monday, 27 October 2008. I honestly can't remember the last time I had pizza. Not that I don't like it, but besides our indulgence in sweets, we try to eat pretty healthy. But, given that this was a Daring Baker's challenge, I had the perfect excuse to indulge in a pizza or two (or six, if you made the whole recipe). I topped my pizza with Parma ham, artichokes and mozzarella cheese. For something so easy to make, the results were incredibly good. M was particularly impres...1 3/4...

Ham Hock is a cheaper cut of meat and it's well worth sourcing a good quality joint from an independent butcher. 189; bunch Parsley. Place the Ham Hock in a large pan and add water until it is just covered, then add the roughly chopped onion, carrot and celery. Cover the pan and simmer for 3 hours. Take off the heat and leave it to chill. Remove the Ham Hock and set the pan of liquor aside. Pick the meat off and chop into small pieces, place in a bowl. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kai We Care - popup restaurant for NZ quake. Twitter is an amazing and powerful tool for our times. I've seen statements like this said a number of times but hadn't realised till Monday night how true this can be. One single tweet from me and approx 300 replies came flooding in within a few minutes. A short conversation with Dave Ahern aka @corkgourmetguy, a blogger and fellow 'mature' newby chef … went along the lines of (and I'm paraphrasing):. D You doing anything for NZ Earthquake? Trevi Fountian, the Spanish Steps etc. But also left a few for a future visit. And than there was the food of course, great pastas, pizzas and desserts, wow, we really have to come back.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008. TWD: Chocolate Chocolate Cupcakes. This week's selection for TWD. Came from my BBB (best blog bud) CB. She's a cupcake freak. And I knew this one would be a natural choice for her. I also wasn't surprised when she asked everyone to decorate their cuppys for Halloween since she's so timely and what not. At first, I was stumped. Then, when watching the news, it came to me! Halloween = scary, right? What is the scariest thing right now? Check out my cuppies to see. Head over to TWD.
