WEAVING FOR FUN: December 2014
http://weavingforfun.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 29, 2014. I have finished up the red and white dimity striped towels. They sure wove up fast. But then again, I was only using one shuttle and five treadles for the pattern. With this threading, I was not able to get a true plain weave, but I was able to get one that worked. Now on to the washer and dryer to see how the pattern really looks. Friday, December 26, 2014. Strips the Light Fantastic. All red weft. (top). All white weft. (bottom). Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Strips To You Too.

http://weavingforfun.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Nothing like a guild meeting to get the juices flowing again. I had missed the last couple of meeting and was glad to see my weaving friends. The show-and-tell and visiting hit the spot. I gave the program on C. Larry shared with us some towels he wove. Larry does such wonderful work. These might be for a sister, so don't tell! Dawn and her towels. She didn't get them hemmed in time for the meeting, but we are glad she brought them to share anyway! A labor of love! Monday, July ...

WEAVING FOR FUN: Playing with Summer and Winter
http://weavingforfun.blogspot.com/2015/07/playing-with-summer-and-winter.html
Saturday, July 18, 2015. Playing with Summer and Winter. I am working with single two-tie (summer and winter). This example is using the 1-2-2-1 tie-down order (with tabby). I love the little circles! This is a draft that was originally an overshot on four shafts that I turned into a six shaft summer and winter draft. I know how to do this, but I let my weaving software do it for me. Soooo much faster and less chance of mistakes. I use WeaveIt Pro. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Just A Bit About Me.

WEAVING FOR FUN: August 2015
http://weavingforfun.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2015. Did You Say More Shibori? Yes, I said more Shibori! My two children had purple and green, but that was years ago! Saturday, August 29, 2015. I have finished one of the woven Shibori pieces. It didn't come out as I had hoped, but is still kinda nice. The drape of this 12/2 rayon (warp and weft) is very nice and will make some great scarves. But right now, I am trying to work on the dyeing process. The weaving of the shibori I get. the dying.not so much. Friday, August 28, 2015.

WEAVING FOR FUN: Sampling Single Two-Tie
http://weavingforfun.blogspot.com/2015/07/sampling-single-two-tie.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. Sampling single two-tie (known as summer and winter in some circles). I have some S&W Polychrome and Taquete going on here. I am limited on my colors as I am just using from my stash! I plan on messing around with this for a while. It is a long warp. Hi Ann - are there any references you especially recommend for S&W? Im interested in exploring it one of these days. I recently got the Best of Weavers S&W, but am always looking for other source material. July 28, 2015 at 11:48 AM.

WEAVING FOR FUN: March 2015
http://weavingforfun.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 27, 2015. White on White Snowflakes. In honor of the snow we had today. just a few very large flakes. I will share my white on white snowflake twill runner. It was going to be a kitchen towel, but looked like a runner to me. So I added some crochet filet on the ends and have called it done! This project went very fast. I can't think of any one part that I didn't mind doing. The warp was a white while the weft was more a cream-white color. I used the weft to crochet the edges. Bo created thr...

WEAVING FOR FUN: January 2015
http://weavingforfun.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2015. Guild Meeting part 3. This is the last posting of the wonderful Show and Tell from the Cabool Weavers meeting that was this last Monday. I think this was Dimity from Shirley D. Larry's Huck and plain weave scarves. Larry says this is showing the one on the right has been ironed and the one on the left has not been ironed. Both great scarves! Can you say "Vicky, I believe you have 500 hand painted scarves here. And each one is different and oh-so beautiful.". M's and O's towels.
