Tuesday, 2 July 2013. Squat rep day and again, a really tough session to get through. I got up to 135kg and managed to get 5 reps, which is ok, but not the 8-10 I should be getting. It might have just been a bad day, but I think the weighted walking I'm doing on the weekend is also causing issues. I completed the session with pause squats, SGDLs, Leg Exts. And some heavy ab. Friday, 31 May 2013. Took my weighted vest for a walk yesterday - felt constrictive and claustrophobic, and then half way up the hill I got used to it and wanted to run! I didn't, not yet). Early days using it, but have already had that thought of 'why didn't I get one of these before? Rep day, worked up to an easy 125kg and got three sets of 8, did them all with a double overhand grip which was the only reason I didn't/couldn't rep-out on the last set (grip failure). Friday, 28 June 2013. A week of being ill. Monday I woke dizzy and sick, I could barely move for fear of falling or puking or both. I decided it was best not to train that day. Gradually the feeling subsided and was held to waves of dizziness that throughout the week have lessened in intensity and frequency. Apparently it's a virus. So Squat day was put off until Tuesday, and in deference to my condition I forgo the pause squats and concentrated on full back squats at speed. I then. Take that, illness!

Tuesday, 18 June 2013. First time lifting back-to-back for a long time ; so far so good. I feel fatigued ( ie. Glad I'm not lifting tomorrow) but not exhausted (can't move) so that's fine. Monday = Heavy squat day and I got up to 147.5kg for a solid double. It felt like a bit of a grinding session again, but this is only 2.5kg off my double PR for this year, so perhaps not so bad. Assisted with Front squats, SGDLs, rest/pause Leg ext, some light leg curls and finally, some heavy ab. A week of being ill.

Friday, 21 June 2013. Was a bit of fug. Felt good until I hit challenging weights so just kept it solid and tight throughout and tried not to overreach myself. Up to 140kg x 8 (pretty sure I had more but this was 2 over minimum and all were good reps) - Pendlay rows up to 80Kg, Long bar rows. Up to 60kg, Kroc rows with 40kg and then finished with shrugs and side bends. It wasn't that long ago that this would have been a 'good' session, but now it's very much below average, signs of getting stronger.
