Sunday, May 18, 2014. Mick immediately ran to Kaden, leaving Atticus alone on the curb. Other adults there took care of my now-hysterical boy and started leading him to the office when a friend of ours from our last ward found him. She called me and stayed with him until I arrived. Whenever we talked to Mick, his first concern was for Atticus. He felt horrible that he'd had to leave him like that, but what choice did he have? So that was our week. How was yours? Tuesday, May 28, 2013. My Faves for Today. Dinner I could make/eat every week: Sauteed boneless chicken thighs in mustard cream sauce (click on photo for recipe). I actually leave out the cream, though last time I added a tablespoon or so whole milk. I have tried this with grainy Dijon and smooth; I think my favorite is a combination of the two. Most delicious leftovers EVER. My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark". I have his album in pretty heavy rotation in my work playlist. Haunting and beautiful...

A Day in the Life. Sunday, October 5, 2014. Last Hurrah in NYC. D joined J and her sister for their annual NYC trip to visit the Todds. It was so fun to see the Todds and to finally meet their newest addition - baby Jacob. It'll probably be a while before we can enjoy NYC like we used to, hopefully not though. A few highlights from our trip. 9-11 Memorial and Museum. Even caught a show. Eating some NY pizza. Sunday morning shananigans with the kiddos. An all adult dinner (no pics) and dessert.

Sunday, September 15, 2013. They accepted our offer! Ours was actually the second offer they received, the first being from an investor with a low bid. I'm glad we moved as quickly as we did, and I wonder whether meeting the owner tipped the scales in our favor. But first we have to inspect the house and actually get a loan. A Day in the Life. Sunday, May 11, 2014. BFF fun in Portland. J and her BFF have been talking about going on a trip together for some time. So, when BFF suggested going to Portland, OR for a quick weekend getaway, we decided to tag along. We had only two objectives for the trip, try out many of their food trucks/restaurants and view the beautiful scenery. We accomplished both. Exploring the city of Portland, it's so green! First things first, donuts and food trucks. Entrance to the Japanese Gardens.
