In 1908 the reputation of the suffragettes (and their hats) led to laws being passed that forbid women from using hat pins longer than 9 inches -just in case they were used as weapons. February 11, 2014. One of those glamorous Faux Fur Headbands” – said no one ever. 8220;Glamorous faux fur headband”…now that’s not something you hear every day! It’s practically an oxymoron. For a reason unbeknownst to me the Faux Fur Headband is a must have accessory on the English equestrian scene. Apparently it looks smashing with tweed. The trip started off badly – I had booked for a hire car, but when I went to collect it, they told me it was on the wrong date! My fault, but arrrghh! We spent ages in the airport trying to book a replacement car. Anyway, that disaster was over, we got a car and drove from the airport to straight to Port Douglas.
