Saqqara and Memphis – Nurul Gets Lost
https://nurulgetslost.wordpress.com/2014/12/23/saqqara-and-memphis
Let's go adventuring! December 23, 2014. December 23, 2014. Then, one guy James (a walking, talking Egyptian-everything book) got super nerd-excited about something. We went down a path with a giant arched door. He said that this Serapeum had not been open for a while and we get to go inside! Massive day of exploring, despite the blaring heat of the sun and sand, it was an amazing day! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. WEST BANK: Valley of the Kings, Deir El-Bahri and Medinet Habu – Nurul Gets Lost
https://nurulgetslost.wordpress.com/2015/01/07/west-bank-valley-of-the-kings-deir-el-bahri-and-medinet-habu
Let's go adventuring! WEST BANK: Valley of the Kings, Deir El-Bahri and Medinet Habu. January 7, 2015. This slideshow requires JavaScript. A bunch of us flew to Luxor for a 3 day excursion and we visited so many places with so many ancient stuff! It was ridiculous how much there was to see. We didn’t get to see everything because of time and it was too hot! The microbus travels as safely as the rest of the Egyptian traffic, and with the door open. Some of the buses didn’t even have doors! We paid a separ...

Oslo – Part 1. | Have spleen, will travel.
https://havespleenwilltravel.wordpress.com/2014/06/18/oslo-part-1
Have spleen, will travel. Adventures of a girl. Oslo – Part 1. June 18, 2014. June 18, 2014. Having heard many mixed things about Oslo I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot. As I sit in the Oslo Gardermoen airport waiting to fly to Tromso, after three glorious days, I can now say for myself that it is a wonderful city. There is public transport galore, ferrys, trains, light rail and busses; all of which seem to come regularly and are incredibly easy to use. There were bus loads of tourists at the centre of t...

Oslo – part 2 | Have spleen, will travel.
https://havespleenwilltravel.wordpress.com/2014/06/18/oslo-part-2
Have spleen, will travel. Adventures of a girl. Oslo – part 2. June 18, 2014. June 18, 2014. As the outstanding weather in Oslo continued I put on shorts and a T-shirt, invested in an Oslo pass and headed out to the Bygdøy peninsular. I caught the ferry from near Rådhusplassen and got off at the first stop to walk up the hill to the Viking ship museum. Next I jumped on a bus, free with my Oslo pass (huzzah! This photo is post run in with the stinging nettle. Please note I’m still smiling! Knee to upper t...

The Great Barrier Reef – Port Douglas, QLD – Nurul Gets Lost
https://nurulgetslost.wordpress.com/2015/06/08/the-great-barrier-reef-port-douglas-qld
Let's go adventuring! The Great Barrier Reef – Port Douglas, QLD. June 8, 2015. November 22, 2015. North Queensland. The trip started off badly – I had booked for a hire car, but when I went to collect it, they told me it was on the wrong date! My fault, but arrrghh! We spent ages in the airport trying to book a replacement car. Anyway, that disaster was over, we got a car and drove from the airport to straight to Port Douglas. The drive was long but the views were amazing! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Cape Tribulation, Daintree Rainforest – QLD – Nurul Gets Lost
https://nurulgetslost.wordpress.com/2015/11/22/cape-tribulation-daintree-rainforest-qld
Let's go adventuring! Cape Tribulation, Daintree Rainforest – QLD. November 22, 2015. FNQ was tropical paradise, maybe it had way too much tropical in it. Sweaty. We drove I think for 2 hours north from Port Douglas to the Daintree. Through coast and rainforest and mountains we had to cross the Daintree River in our car on a barge ferry thing. It was very exciting! A sign says something about crocs, but we didn’t see any. We kayaked out quite far and through mangroves too! In the end I just felt way too ...

The Red Sea – Hurghada, Egypt – Nurul Gets Lost
https://nurulgetslost.wordpress.com/2015/06/07/the-red-sea-hurghada-egypt
Let's go adventuring! The Red Sea – Hurghada, Egypt. June 7, 2015. June 7, 2015. After my dig adventure in Egypt it was time to go home, but not before a diving adventure. We had gone diving in Alexandria where the vis was half a metre and it wasn’t very deep, so I was excited to go to the Red Sea! It was hot and balmy in Hurghada, so Liesel and I chose a shady and breezy spot on the boat to camp for the day. We were on a huge vessel with other dive companies and their customers. On day 2 we dove at Smal...
