Så går dagarna i Agnetas liv: Kreativ vår 2014
http://agnetan.blogspot.com/2014/02/kreativ-var-2014.html
Så går dagarna i Agnetas liv. Torsdag 27. februar 2014.

Sara's Little Dabblings: All work and no play...
http://saraslittledabblings.blogspot.com/2015/07/all-work-and-no-play.html
Monday, 27 July 2015. All work and no play. Means another week without much sewing! It's been such a long time since I've done any knitting, Chrome has completely forgotten that if I type R I mean for it to go straight to Ravelry! I dug out a ball of now discontinued Regia World Circus Colour in 3752. It's quite pretty, and a mindless knit. Think this is the 8th pair of socks I've made now, and the 6th one using Silver's Sock Class. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Tilly and ...

Snitches Get Stitches: Tablecloth Brumby skirt
http://snitches-get-stitches.blogspot.com/2015/07/tablecloth-brumby-skirt.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. I went to a wonderful wedding just gone in Norwich, and had my first experience of shape note singing - an a cappella folk hymn singing with its roots in 19th-century America. It was very moving and I loved taking part. And I wore my new Brumby Skirt for the occasion! I absolutely love the fabric, which is a thick, roughish cotton, and the print is also very dear to me. My first exposed zipper - love the look of these, but I definitely need a ton of practise. I cut a size M but the...

Snitches Get Stitches: Brumby the second
http://snitches-get-stitches.blogspot.com/2015/08/brumby-second.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. I'm back with another Brumby skirt. This time I made up a Small, as the Medium even with 1" taken off was too big - this is now on the snug side, so I'm not there yet - I think next time, a S with slight smaller seam allowances will be perfect. I bought this pretty fabric from John Lewis - again, why? It's totally not the kind of colours or pattern I wear! I love the two tone print on my last Brumby - I must stick with those from now on! She's also fairly dubious about the print.

Snitches Get Stitches: September 2014
http://snitches-get-stitches.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 15, 2014. I spent Saturday sewing up a shirt with some lovely cotton shirting fabric from The Cloth House. On Berwick Street (dangerously close by.) The pattern was made up from an old Jaeger shirt, using the technique which Alice Prier. Teaches at Ray Stitch. It wasn't 100% successful - a bit massive and baggy, but that was sort of. The look I was going for! I'm really into this blue/grey with bright red buttons look! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sewing Blogs I Love.

Sara's Little Dabblings: Not the most exciting week
http://saraslittledabblings.blogspot.com/2015/07/i-havent-been-doing-that-much.html
Wednesday, 15 July 2015. Not the most exciting week. I haven't been doing that much creatively since returning from Edinburgh, I've been working lots instead. I also picked up some quilting rulers, a 4.5 inch triangle and a 6 inch square. I spent a few hours cutting out squares ready to be sewn and cut into 8 half square triangles but otherwise haven't touched my sewing stash all week! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). bubala: May 2015
http://bubalablog.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 1, 2015. Me Made May pledge and another zippy top. Hi, long time no see :-(. I really do enjoy maintaining my blog - now if only I could get all of those blog posts that I compose in my head out and into this format without any further effort that would be great! I'd be almost a daily blogger, ha ha! Anyway. I have been looking forward to Me Made May this year, and thinking that I could probably. Do a full me-made pledge, that is all me-made except for underwear and shoes,. Are you doing MMM?

bubala: November 2014
http://bubalablog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 7, 2014. I had one of those rare reactions to seeing a new pattern recently: I wanted to buy and make it immediately! Tessuti's new Alice Top and dress pattern. I made a shameless copycat version, though my fabric is just a plain old cotton (from a thrifted doona/duvet cover) rather than the fine linen of the sample. The drape is not quite as nice but it's the same thin blue and white stripe and I love it :-). But now I really need to get onto sewing some trousers, as I'm sadly lacking!

bubala: Tween sewing
http://bubalablog.blogspot.com/2014/12/tween-sewing.html
Monday, December 8, 2014. Several years ago I made my eldest girl a Sophie Tunic from Sisboom. As a sun/beach cover-up. She's loved it and worn it to death but for a while now it's been way too small and she's been asking for an update. So when we were in a fabric store together recently I asked her to pick out a new fabric. She chose this lovely Cloud 9 printed cotton (proud mother moment ;-). The only change I made was to add sleeve tabs. The tab pattern is from my Make it Perfect Shearwater Kaftan.
