the steveohville speakeasy: August 2015
http://steveohville.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 03, 2015. How we couldn't take the kids, day two. In Rome, by the Vatican, a conversation with the kids that didn't happen because they weren't here, but would have if they were:. Luke: Who is the pope? Mommy: He lives here. Luke: What does he look like? Mommy: He has a pointy hat and a cape. Wyatt: Does he have superpowers? Mommy: He's very holy, but he's like us. Wyatt: Does he have a cool car? Daddy: Yes, and if anyone tries to hurt him, the car will protect him. Mommy: What, sweetie?
the steveohville speakeasy: how i will always miss my uncle mike

Saturday, May 17, 2014. How i will always miss my uncle mike. Michael K. Phillips. Practiced Law and Acts of Kindness. Mike Phillips kept everything he held dear. There was a shoebox inside his house with memorabilia from his 55 years on this planet. There were Confirmation notices, report cards, news clippings, photos. None of them were about him. They were all about his brothers. He was proud to be a part of his family. He was a special little prodigy, excelling throughout his education, from St. G...

http://steveohville.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 11, 2011. How i can't believe it's been two years. I miss you, mom. It's not getting easier, but it's just getting so much different that life is just resembling something else entirely. don't confuse that with missing you less. that's not it at all. I've evolved to the point where i've accepted this fate, and it sucks. I just wish you were here to enjoy the life we're making for ourselves. Posted by Check me out:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). How i cant believe its been two years.

Friday, October 29, 2010. How we'll never forget Hawaii. Our trip to Hawaii will be one we'll never forget. However, just in case, here's my blog postings about it. Posted by Check me out:. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. How we have one last morning. We don't want to leave Hawaii. It's been a paradise, not just for the setting but for the amazing time the three of us have spent here. But still, reality awaits 2,000 miles away, and we need to return. But first, a final goodbye. Posted by Check me out:. But th...

the steveohville speakeasy: Fooling Your Stress With Data
http://steveohville.blogspot.com/2013/07/seeing-over-feeling.html
Sunday, July 14, 2013. Fooling Your Stress With Data. I am on the top of Homewood on a late afternoon in early March. It's barely above freezing and the air stings me with every breath. The only warmth I can feel comes from what I hope is my sweat. This is my last run of the day. I am brutally tired. Did I mention that I'm on Black Diamond? Or, as everyone else calls it, Ego Alley? And that it's my first time? Good, because I'm keeping it all out of my mind. My legs are weak. My goose is bumping. I was a...
the steveohville speakeasy: how i can't believe it's been four years
http://steveohville.blogspot.com/2013/02/how-i-cant-believe-its-been-four-years.html
Monday, February 11, 2013. How i can't believe it's been four years. It's been four years since you've been taken away from us. it really sucks. i don't know what i would have thought it would have been, but it really sucks, mostly because i see my kids, your grandsons, and realize how much they're missing without you in their lives. It kills me that the boys are missing out. it really does. We would not have stopped quoting from "21 jump street". this movie was right up your alley. Love you always,.
the steveohville speakeasy: May 2010
http://steveohville.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 24, 2010. Here's what i think happened:. The island was real. the oceanic flight 815 survivors were the ones who, for the first time in two thousand years, were able to reverse the endless pattern of people who came to the island. they did not kill each other. they were not in it for only themselves. in the end, they simply sacrificed for each other. The island was a test. they passed. Where am i going with this? Because, at that point, time became irrelevant. But you know what does matter?

What Lucy Loves
Thursday, 20 June 2013. Here are some more drawings that I did for this weekend's exhibition at The Winestyle Winter Winedown. These, together with the drawings posted earlier will be for sale this weekend. I did't get around to drawing as many as I would have liked, but I surely am addicted now and will most definitely be spending most of my time producing new artwork. I will post all of the framed artwork tomorrow when I get ready for the exhibition! Have a lovely day. Thursday, 6 June 2013. The proble...
What Lucy Said
Little snippets of why we love Lucy and Molly Blythe. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Sitting near the fountains at the farmers market, getting ready to say goodbye to the girls, we were discussing the upcoming week (they'll be at the beach and I'll be here). Lucy said, "I'm worried you're going to be lonely without us. Assept you do like calm and peace and quiet chillness. What will you do when we're gone? That'll make me think twice before I consider getting into any shenanigans. Superhero day at camp! Well if ...

What Luke Did Next...
What Luke Did Next. The day-to-day adventures and ramblings of an eight year old boy with a little bit of help from his Mum. Wednesday, 16 November 2016. If you have been reading for a while you might remember that last year we had a really good day out at Brick Live. As you can imagine I was very excited to be invited back to attend the 2016 show and is was great knowing a bit more about what to expect this time. That painful moment when you stand on a LEGO brick! I asked the lady if they were going to ...

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. – C. S. Lewis. April 15, 2017. April 16, 2017. Today, God spoke through ice cream sticks and colours. To commemorate Good Friday and Easter, Sze Yen and David organized an Easter event at Sentosa for the youth in our church (my youth group is called Destiny Impact from Westside Anglican Church). I picked two red ones and glued them together. I put the marker down and flipped ...
