THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS: March 2014
http://jeridaniels.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 1, 2014. Jeri's Life in the Desert. Whoa I woke up this morning to cloudy skies and a wet world. I guess it started raining during the night sometime and it's still drizzling! It hasn't rained too much though because we don't have lakeside property yet (hee-hee). They've been predicting rain for the entire weekend but we don't believe it until we actually see it - now we know they were right. Soooo let me share about this past week. Ah, the security of having a man in the house! I felt so...

THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS: March 2013
http://jeridaniels.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 31, 2013. I have placed links to the videos after the Biblical account of the story from the book of John. My reasoning is that if you haven't read it, or haven't read it in awhile, you may want to do that before watching the video. I believe it will make the music and the video much more powerful. Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene. Went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. He bent over and looked in. Seated where J...

Sunday, May 4, 2014. Jeri's Life in the Desert. She was wise beyond her age! We had a number of conversations about God and when I started attending church at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral I invited her to join me. After attending for awhile she decided to become Catholic and asked us to become her godparents. She was baptized, confirmed and accepted into full communion at the 2005 Easter Vigil service. It was a wonderful day for all of us. This picture was taken at Keylee's wedding in 2008. My grandparent...

Saturday, August 31, 2013. Labor Day weekend and three days off - hot diggity dog! Although Budd and I have some great plans for the weekend, in the past, Labor Day weekend was always a time when my sisters and nieces took time to bond in Chicago and I'm dreaming of days gone by. Miss you ladies and hope those of you that are there have a great time! THINGS I'VE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK:. The church cookbook is done! I was also able to go through all of the supply orders that I've placed since this fiscal ...

THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS: July 2014

Thursday, July 10, 2014. You see, the doctors have said that the outlook isn't good at all. That the stroke will leave him paralyzed and unable to walk, and possibly without the ability to talk or read or write and that has always been his life! He told me to ALWAYS pray for healing, but not to ever tell him how to do it." I thought back to my question, "What do you want us to do." I'm pretty sure that the message I received was "Believe! We believe, we believe. I began praying, "You are where our hope i...

THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS: January 2014
http://jeridaniels.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 18, 2014. Jeri's Life in the Desert. Saturday morning and the start of a three day weekend - boy do I need it! Since my last post I've had a good week and a not so good week, in that order! Towards the end of the week our new part time receptionist, Cindy, started working and I'm very glad to have her there too! Now I just need to get it to her before her real anniversary next month. It's too big to fit in a USPS flat rate box - without crushing the sides somewhat but Beth has said ...

Our flag is flying 1/2 mast this morning in honor of fallen veterans. We'll change it to full mast at noon in honor of those still living. An ultra light did a fly by over our neighborhood this morning. I sooooo want to try this! There's an airport not to far from us where they must have lessons because these guys are always flying around.

THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS: November 2013
http://jeridaniels.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 29, 2013. It's still and sunny and 55 degrees. The bouganvillas are blooming rather nicely, as are the pansies and the grass is finally starting to fill in. In Arizona, we have summer grass and winter grass and neither can grow in the opposite season. Budd planted grass almost a month ago and it has taken a long time to come up this year. We still only have patches but it finally seems to be growing and, hopefully, it will fill in nicely in the next week or so. And then remembered that m...

THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS: April 2014
http://jeridaniels.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 26, 2014. Jeri's Life in the Desert. My goodness it was windy today - all day long - and a bit chilly for April. We went to dinner tonight, sat outside and just about froze our tushies off. I think I'm gonna pull out the winter comforter before we go to bed (hee-hee). We've had a pretty good week though! Ah, to have the strength of the younger generation. The obvious answer, because of the cross, is Jesus. On the back it lists some of the women who followed Him and became saints in the Ca...
