Leviathan Review - o_apostrophe
http://o-apostrophe.livejournal.com/3824.html
Sep 27th, 2010 at 10:34 PM. I loved this book far more than I ever thought I would. I own four other books by this author (including Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras) and, honestly, I barely made it through Uglies. I found Westerfeld’s style to be a bit cold and distant, and I couldn’t develop any affection for the characters. I worried that I might not like Westerfeld's writing style in Leviathan. And be heartbroken at not enjoying a highly recommended Steampunk text. She’s also arrived at t...

Steamed: A Steampunk Romance [Review] - o_apostrophe
http://o-apostrophe.livejournal.com/4183.html
Steamed: A Steampunk Romance [Review]. Sep 30th, 2010 at 12:25 AM. I would never suggest that a book shouldn’t be read, but I will offer my honest opinion and hope that it will be accepted in the spirit it is being offered. The basic idea of Steamed: A Steampunk Romance. But wait, there’s more! The characters in this book remind me of a Ke$ha song (“stop, talk, talk, talking that blah, blah, blah.”) Holy diarrhea of the mouth, Batman! I’m supposed to like these people and hope for their success?

Worldshaker by Richard Harland [Review] - o_apostrophe
http://o-apostrophe.livejournal.com/4616.html
Worldshaker by Richard Harland [Review]. Oct 23rd, 2010 at 11:26 PM. The first time I read this story I liked it, but was a little underwhelmed by what I thought was too simple a story. By the time I read Harland’s text I had already read Scott Westerfeld’s Leviathan. A work of YA literature that has been very well received by adults) and Cherie Priest’s Boneshaker. An adult work that could easily be read by teens), and I felt that Worldshaker. Steampunk literature is well-known for exploring concerns ab...

The Crafty Reader: Conquering an Addiction- Part 2: September Book Ban
http://thecraftyreader.blogspot.com/2010/08/conquering-addiction-part-2-september.html
Thursday, August 19, 2010. Conquering an Addiction- Part 2: September Book Ban. As if banning myself from library sales isn’t enough. Suggested that I join her and a few other brave souls in the September Book Buying Ban. The ban is being hosted by Bella from. A Girl Reads a Book. After reading about her humongous TBR, I don’t feel so bad but that doesn’t solve my space problem. So here are my set guidelines:. 3) Books to review are acceptable- it’s the perks of blogging *shrug*. Thursday, August 19, 2010.

http://shelikesbento.blogspot.com/2011/03/recipe-spanakopita-triangles.html
Saturday, March 26, 2011. A few days ago Chinoiseries blogged about Spanakopita Triangles. And posted a small how-to. That was enough for me to try my hands on these today and I have to say that I enjoyed these very much :) We had a guest as well today who helped me in the kitchen by preparing a side salad. I never cooked with cottage cheese before and I used radishes in the salad, which was a first for me as well :). Spanakopita Triangles (makes 10). 10 sheets of puff pastry. 1 glove of garlic. I love s...

She Likes Bento: Recipe: Pretzels
http://shelikesbento.blogspot.com/2011/03/recipe-pretzels.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. Last weekend I tried my hand at pretzels for the very first time! Getting the pretzels into shape was quite a challenge, but I think I didn't do too bad for a first time. I made these to bring to a meeting we had and there were only 2 pretzels left when we went homewards. I take that as a good sign. 2tbsp sugar (plus extra for sprinkling). 150gr butter, melted and cooled down. Recipe is submitted to weekend cooking. And whip up something new. March 19, 2011 at 1:06 PM. March 19,...
