Never A Single Story: sopaipillas for any kind of weather

http://www.whereistangtang.blogspot.com/2010/06/sopaipillas-for-any-kind-of-weather.html

Never A Single Story. But These Are Mine. Monday, June 21, 2010. Sopaipillas for any kind of weather. I went to visit my co-teacher's, Angela's, home on Saturday for lunch and to make sopaipillas. From scratch. She lives in a small, quiet suburban town named Placilla about twenty minutes outside of Valpo if you're driving towards Santiago. A sopaipilla. Straight from the pan. Laguna La Luz near Angela's house. 1 Boil pumpkin until soft and peel is easily removed. 5 Eat plain, with sugar or pebre. Enter y...

http://www.whereistangtang.blogspot.com/2010/06/skipping-school.html

Never A Single Story. But These Are Mine. Friday, June 4, 2010. Skipping school for.what? So it's true. When it rains in Quilpué, the kids stay home from school. I would love to see what would happen if it ever snowed. Half of a usually full 5th grade class. June 9, 2010 at 7:50 PM. Only 8 students out of 30! I wish this happened in Cunco. It rains all the time.I would never have to teach. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Travel Photo Journal. What's Up With This Girl? View my complete profile.

South, and South Still: April 2010

http://southandsouthstill.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 29, 2010. A Country of Poets. This photograph is clearly a metaphor. I believe it was Isabel Allende who wrote in her memoir My Invented Country.

From the Big Easy to Chile. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Alright, I admit. I've been super bad about updating y'all on my life. So for winter break in July I went to Peru for nearly 2.5 weeks and it was freaking awesome! Peru is an amazing country, beautiful, awesome intact indigenous culture still and their spanish is so much better! FINALLY). Arequipa is super beautiful as you can see below. But not tons to do. We went to the Monastery which was completely cloistered until the 70s! Peru y una peruana.
