Lil' bits of this and that. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Well, yesterday was in the 100's again. The kids needed to get out and my parents just returned from Hawaii, so we decided to go to their house to go swimming. My brother, his girlfriend and her friend went swimming with us. My brother, Justin, taught Garrett how to do a cannon ball. Then that's all he wanted to do. She couldn't find her goggles so she wouldn't put her face in the water. Links to this post. Lil' bits of this and that. Monday, April 27, 2009. Around here we try to have a Taco Tuesday just about every week. Garrett LOVES. Tacos and looks forward to this dinner all week. Last week, instead of tacos, we had Tostada. I thought I'd change things up a bit but I kept the alliteration for the sake of keeping it fun for the kids. Anyways, the girls love Mexican food. It seems to be the only type of food that they inhale. Here she is with food all over her face. Laughing and enjoying making a mess!

A note the previous week saying that he was going to get an award. I guess the only hold award assemblies right before they track off. Lil' bits of this and that. Monday, March 30, 2009. As I'm slowly working my way back through the last couple of months, I thought I'd share when Brooke got her first haircut. We went over to my friend Karina's house for a tamale making party (this was back in January). Her cousin-in-law, who cuts hair, was there. We all rounded up the kids and took turns getting their hair cut. I had to hold Brooke because she wouldn't sit still and kept taking off. Getting some little bangs. Trimming the ends off!

Lil' bits of this and that. Monday, April 6, 2009. Last Thursday, we headed out to downtown Whittier with some friends. We thought we were going out there to visit a candy factory. Sadly, it turned out to be just a regular old candy shop. However, once the kids saw all the candy, I don't think they were too disappointed. The kids got to pick out fudge, salt water taffy and make their own tubes of colored sugar. Picking out her candy! Someone is very happy to be surrounded by all this candy!
