Wilderness Rd Park is the proud home of historic Martin's Station, the most authentically re-constructed frontier in America. Hensley's Settlement was established by in-laws Sherman Hensley and Willy Gibbons. It contains tweleve homestead log cabins, one-room school house,and even a blacksmith shop. The Sand Caves is famous for its sand and legend has it visitors could see at least 21 different colors at one time.

Wilderness Road Chorus presents barbershop-style musical harmony throughout the New River Valley. Barbershop style is four-part harmony, sung a cappella. A solid sound that usually is the melody. A light, sweet, harmony sung above the lead. A harmony crossing above and below the lead. A rich mellow sound of the lowest notes of the chord. When the harmony is just right, everyone hears a fifth tone, the overtone. It reverberates through the room. That's ringing the chord.
