Behind the Lens
You have mental problems.". I hear this often, but they just don't understand. I'm an adventure photographer that likes to push the limits, do 'crazy' things, and try and learn from it all. Hiking far, fast, and ultralight in remote areas, packrafting rivers and creeks, sleeping outside in all conditions, riding single-speed bikes in summer and winter, both on and off-trail, climbing waterfall ice and frozen gullies, and learning about gear and techniques are where my interests lie. Live simply. Adap...

You'd best get comfortable. My photography has changed a lot in the past two years, from heading out to compose beautiful photographs, to taking photos while doing cool things outdoors. I set aside the DSLR for a while and pocketed (literally) my waterproof point-and-shoot. Photography took the back seat to hiking, biking, packrafting, and ice climbing. Fortunately, the little camera still takes good pics. 2010 and 2011 photography is available at Life and Its Adventures. About the Man Behind the Lens.

The Gyrfalcon
The highly unknown, fastest flying, and most revered raptor in the world. A less than 1 day old, still blind gyrfalcon squeaks at me, thinking I was its mother. Beside him is a pipping egg, along with one still brooding. So full, they can't even keep their eyes open. Addled eggs in a nest abandoned by the adults, for reasons unknown.
