Seeking to capture the delicate energy of this frenetic woodnymph, I used a comparatively slow shutter speed to blur the fluttering wings and tail, and a pulse of flash to etch in the fine linear details of its structural breast plumage. Continuing the Dream
And photographing life to its fullest. 2008 brought me from Washington state and up to Alaska for the summer (cabin in Eagle, Alaska, pictured above), with a return "Outside" to California in late fall. With thousands of photos from all the year's travels, deciding which to post is quite the task, in and amongst continuing this crazy ride called life.
