Autumn Walk | The Wildlife Gardener

https://wildlifegardenerblog.wordpress.com/2016/10/16/autumn-walk

The greatness of a Nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Mahatma Gandhi. October 16, 2016. We walked in our woods yesterday morning. It was chilly, a bit cloudy, and the air had that wonderful earthy, autumn smell. There is something grounding — spiritual — about an early morning walk among the glorious trees, the multi-colored leaves pirouetting in their final, slow dance to the ground, the trees whispering shared secrets as old as time. Fall Flowers | The Wildlife Gardener

https://wildlifegardenerblog.wordpress.com/2016/09/17/fall-flowers

The greatness of a Nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Mahatma Gandhi. September 17, 2016. I took Friday afternoon off from work to spend some time catching up in the garden. I was able to get some mums potted and placed on the front steps; always makes me feel as though autumn is on the way. Then I spent some time weeding and re-locating a couple of young crab apple trees to a new garden area. Dragonfly on spent coneflower. Dahlia ‘David Howard’. Fill in your ...

Autumn Colors…and the sheep | The Wildlife Gardener

The greatness of a Nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Mahatma Gandhi. Autumn Colors…and the sheep. October 2, 2016. October 2, 2016. Things have been very busy here, but I managed to snap some photos early yesterday morning. The leaves have started their change and the evenings have been consistently in the 50s. Still waiting for those really cool nights so I can plant the 500 flower bulbs and the garlic taking up space in my pantry. Flock of Canadian Geese.

Saturday’s Shots | The Wildlife Gardener

The greatness of a Nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Mahatma Gandhi. October 12, 2016. The hot border – loaded with Dahlias this year. The crab apple trees were also loaded this year. And, as you can see from the next few photos, the fall colors are simply gorgeous. I guess the lack of rain was of some benefit. 2 thoughts on “ Saturday’s Shots. October 12, 2016 at 1:14 pm. The trees are on fire. October 12, 2016 at 3:06 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

It Begins Here – Learn Grow Nourish

https://learngrownourish.wordpress.com/2016/08/04/it-begins-here

Well here it is, my first post. I had so many ideas of what to write about but somehow it only seems right to start here:. This is a picture of my garden. Okay, yes I know, this is actually a picture of a bunch of cardboard boxes I scavenged from my work-site, a hospital. (which unknowingly provides an endless supply of cardboard which I will be sure to help reduce and repurpose). Let’s Grow Something! August 4, 2016. 9 thoughts on “ It Begins Here.
