A Native Backyard: January 2014
http://nativeplantenthusiast.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Recreating a native habitat has been a dream of mine since I was about 18. It only took me 20 years, but I finally have two acres of land in the country with which to work (and play). My goal is to document the improvements I make to the property: restoring habitat and attracting birds and butterflies in addition to other wildlife. Just the back yard! Nah, I want the front and side yards landscaped in natives too. Sunday, January 26, 2014. Native Habitat Design Plan. And stream are still in my head.

It was chilly, a bit cloudy, and the air had that wonderful earthy, autumn smell. There is something grounding — spiritual — about an early morning walk among the glorious trees, the multi-colored leaves pirouetting in their final, slow dance to the ground, the trees whispering shared secrets as old as time. October 12, 2016. Dahlia...
