Our Happy Happy Family!!: The Getty Villa
http://amakasukids.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-getty-villa.html
Our Happy Happy Family! Here's what we do, where we go, what we like, and how we grow! May 16, 2015. Here's a random picture of some mosaics the boys made. Can you believe I have never been here? Maybe because it's in Malibu and the traffic is horrendous through LA anytime of the day. I don't miss that at all. San Deigo's traffic is a hiccough compared to LA. I digress. Lovely, classical, serene. I didn't even need to tell my kids who this is. Hermes/Mercury, of course! Benny, Owen and Milo:. 8220;Howeve...

Our Happy Happy Family!!: Compassion Project
http://amakasukids.blogspot.com/2015/05/compassion-project.html
Our Happy Happy Family! Here's what we do, where we go, what we like, and how we grow! May 5, 2015. On the ride home we discussed the hardships these children have faced. The food we had for dinner seemed almost vulgar in quantity. I'm so glad the boys were able to experience this. We are certainly more aware and more thankful for our abundant blessings. Craft Phesine: April 2012
http://phesine.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Scripture Brief Cases - Missionary Style. I finally made the boys some scripture/church cases. This is another one of those projects that has been a couple years in the making. I knew I wanted some manly briefcase-style scripture totes, but I didn't find the unfinished cases I wanted until just a couple weeks ago (Hobby Lobby for about $7, if I remember right. AND, by the way, Alexander's already needs a new latch! PS Did you spy what. The Easter Bunny brought me? Leaves of Time ...

http://phesine.blogspot.com/2013/01/leonardo-da-vinci-costume.html
Monday, January 7, 2013. Leonardo da Vinci Costume. I was just going through my blog drafts and saw that I had never published the rest of our Halloween costumes. Here's the second one. One more to come! My four-year-old wanted to be Leonardo da Vinci for Halloween and he wanted his little sister to be the Mona Lisa. Here's how his costume turned out. It's based on the sculpture of Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, Italy. The sleeved cape is vintage- it belonged to my grandmother. Soon to come: Mona Lisa!

Voyage of the Frugal Frigate. Our Homeschooling Adventures 2009-2010. Tuesday, April 13, 2010. To introduce the key points about the author I wrote them on the backs of these keys and tied them around the yard (our garden). Attached was a picture representing the information. Don't give me the credit for this one. Someone in my homeschool group had the idea. Monday, April 12, 2010. We have arrived to our last section and book. I've been looking forward to this all year! The Cahoon Family: August 2011
http://thecahoons.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Phill, Ashley, Porter and Sawyer. Monday, August 29, 2011. It was an easy fix too. Hooray, no more worrying about our children having a heat stroke! While inside we end up watching a movie almost everyday. Porter loves 'flying' like Buzz. Update on Porter, he stays dry every night without a pull-up, and is doing great with few accidents in the day. 8 months later, but we are happy with the result. Never in my life did I think I would say this, but please winter come soon! Posted by The Cahoons! Earlier t...

Voyage of the Frugal Frigate: Composting
http://voyageofthefrugalfrigate.blogspot.com/2010/05/composting.html
Voyage of the Frugal Frigate. Our Homeschooling Adventures 2009-2010. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. The weather is perfect for getting out of doors and digging in the garden. Although our dirt patch is small it provided great specimens. Peter shows us my favorite flower, Columbine. We started a compost bin with organic material from the garden and kitchen. Neighborhood kids on bikes wanted to join in too! They helped search for worms. The boys gathered and compared organic and inorganic objects.

Craft Phesine: Halloween Tree
http://phesine.blogspot.com/2012/11/halloween-tree.html
Thursday, November 1, 2012. I had this branch and I had this base (for a flag) so I put the two together to make a spooky Halloween tree. TA DAH! I got some cute scrapbook paper with vintage Halloween greetings. The kids helped me laminate, cut out, and glue ribbon to each one to hang on our Halloween tree. January 11, 2013 at 10:32 AM. I like that idea and I like the vintage prints. Thanks for your comments! They make my day! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Powered By: Blogger Widgets. Sometimes it ...
