Windowsill Arranging

Celebrating Nature on the Windowsill. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. This one's for Marty Ross, who gave me a package of mixed Marigold seeds. I didn't expect much from the mix (probably the ones the seed company had leftover, thought I), but boy, was I wrong! I'm getting the most interesting marigolds from that mix. I particularly love this one, which has stems long enough to cut but not so tall they need staking and bright red-orange flowers with yellow edges. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Monday, July 27, 2015.

Windowsill Arranging: one cayenne pepper

http://windowsillarranging.blogspot.com/2015/07/one-cayenne-pepper.html

Celebrating Nature on the Windowsill. Thursday, July 23, 2015. I've got squashes piling up in my kitchen like logs, but that conglomeration seemed less interesting to display than this one cayenne pepper, which I "submerged" in a small, narrow-necked vase. Windowsill Arranging: Tatume squash

http://windowsillarranging.blogspot.com/2015/07/tatume-squash.html

Celebrating Nature on the Windowsill. Sunday, July 26, 2015. It occurred to me that these look like little bombs lined up on the windowsill, but they are Tatume squash. Windowsill Arranging: Mortgage Lifter

http://windowsillarranging.blogspot.com/2015/07/mortgage-lifter.html

Celebrating Nature on the Windowsill. Monday, July 27, 2015. This is a gigantic tomato called Mortgage Lifter- so called because when these huge tomatoes started coming in, the farmer could pay off his mortgage! One slice exceeds the sides of even the biggest piece of bread! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Praying mantis on the window pane (inside! Blackberry lily with Japanese Solomons seal. Windowsill Arranging: homage to Pluto

http://windowsillarranging.blogspot.com/2015/07/homage-to-pluto.html

Celebrating Nature on the Windowsill. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. This is my tribute to the photos coming from Pluto. AMAZING. Heard somewhere that the spacecraft taking the photos flew at 31,000 miles per hour, and that, had it struck anything as big as a rice grain on its journey of over 9 years, it would have been destroyed. Even more amazing! My little "pluto revealed" is a tomatillo with its outer covering pulled back. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Praying mantis on the window pane (inside!

Windowsill Arranging: coxcomb color

http://windowsillarranging.blogspot.com/2015/08/coxcomb-color.html

Celebrating Nature on the Windowsill. Saturday, August 1, 2015. I've been eyeing these particular coxcomb flowers for weeks and today decided, why not cut them? I'd been thinking I needed an artist in residence to appreciate their color with me, but having none such, I photographed this, which does them no service. They're not the usual color (sort of magenta) but instead have undertones of yellow and orange and apricot. I wish I had the photography skills to prove it! August 1, 2015 at 12:45 PM.

This morning I thought I was in heaven. These Limelight Hydrangeas just a few steps from the tennis courts caught me completely off guard. My Windowsill | Exploring Writing for Digital Media, Design, and the User Experience

Exploring Writing for Digital Media, Design, and the User Experience. August 6, 2010. Can brand build really happen in email systems where graphics are blocked by default? Posted by TR Pendergast under Uncategorized. If an email campaign can be developed and deployed in a holistic and strategic manner, it can be a successful brand building effort. This would require a well thought out campaign design using offers and techniques that are relevant and that engage recipients. Can use graphics to present the...

Window Sill Baking

Thursday, September 30, 2010. In early Summer I found out about a wonderful organization called Icing Smiles, Inc. They are a non profit that provides custom cakes and treats for families and children impacted by critical illness. After reading the mission I immediately contacted them to see how I could be of service. How could it be better? And seriously, if you head over to the Icing Smile FaceBook page ( Icing Smiles, Inc FB. So, onto the family! After some talk about theme and flavors, I found out it...
