At the end of 2006 I started in Diever, Drenthe with 5 other enthousiasts on a selfmade trail that would lead us to Emmen in the same province in the North of Holland. A little after mid-day, we bought the last supplies that would almost last us until the end of the trail, to be reached approx. three nights later. Wednesday, January 03, 2007. Nobody arrived yet, and we took advantage of the silence before the storm (of students) would come. The boats were bobbing on the waves nearby, and as soon as all were there we took to the nearby lakes; Fluessen and Heegermeer. The evening went by with some riddle games from Britta and Niels and theory lessons.
