Ornamental Dandelions: March 2010
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 18, 2010. So very rarely does spring break correspond with actual Spring in Indiana. However, this week, while I am on vacation at home from work and school, God has seen fit to give 60' temps and gorgeous, beautiful blue skies and sunshine. I spent today walking and sunning myself in a local park (Holliday, thank you Kristin and Jeff and Ade for the find ;). So good to just sit and breathe, with nowhere to be, no schedule to keep. Ornamental Dandelions: Course Correction
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2010/02/course-correction.html
Friday, February 19, 2010. Yay, I'm not going to be a double major! I thought the only way I could get the teaching certification and studio experience I wanted/needed was to double major in studio art and art education. I figured I could do it part time, it would just take me longer (hence the 40th birthday finish goal). Is God good or what? That means I can take a General Studio major, which will allow me to take pretty much whatever I want, and get all kinds of experience in all kinds of mediums, whic...

Ornamental Dandelions: February 2009
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 1, 2009. Be careful what you wish for. 160;alas, i had a LOT of ice packed in my wheel wells, so had to run over to the mechanic's on thursday to get it chipped out (30 minutes and $40 bucks later). . Anyway, it's beautiful in southern indiana right now, the sun is out, the sky is blue, the snow is gorgeous (tho', predictably, melting) and the temp is in the 30's - heatwave! Ornamental Dandelions: Fall '09 - Progress continues
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2010/02/fall-09-progress-continues.html
Friday, February 5, 2010. Fall '09 - Progress continues. Here are some of my best pieces from last semester. This still life is an homage to my love of story and reading, and the art of Chris Van Allsburg. The portrait is of my classmate Erin and represents some hard-fought-for progress in drawing! Btw, when the model doesn't show up, you draw each other :). This one requires a little explanation. it's a (conceptual) walking stick, a wooden. February 6, 2010 at 2:29 PM. The Reichanadter Journey: February 2012
http://the4racks.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. This was the "cute" little attic when we bought our house 2 years ago. The guys got started on demolition 1 year ago. Notice the chimney, which needed a lot of cleaning to get those mineral deposits off. After lots and lots of dust, loads of garbage bags brought down many flights of stairs, banging and hammering, here we are. After the carpet was laid, the kids kept doing summersaults and squealing, because this is the only carpet in the house and it's so "soft." :). Mom had th...

The Reichanadter Journey: Trick or Treat
http://the4racks.blogspot.com/2012/11/trick-or-treat.html
Thursday, November 8, 2012. We had a lot of fun going trick-or-treating in our neighborhood with our backpacker, cowgirl, and fireman. Hudson really got into the action and loved getting his bag full of goodies. We also made a stop at the Governor's Mansion, where the kids met Governor Mitch Daniels and his wife. As you can see, Hudson was too interested in his bag of candy to realize the famous people he could be meeting. Great pics. Great kids! November 11, 2012 at 7:11 PM. November 14, 2012 at 1:47 PM.

Ornamental Dandelions: January 2009
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2009. The things that matter. I've spent so much time recently with people (at work and school) whose values and experiences and cultures are so completely at odds with mine that i think i have lost my way a little bit. I spent sunday and monday back home with several of my closest, dearest family-friends, and was reminded that my value and hope are sure and grounded in my God and His gifts, not what those outside of Him value. For those keeping track, i have now started my 3rd semest...

The Reichanadter Journey: October 2012
http://the4racks.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 27, 2012. Our final day in California was spent at our favorite beach spot.Leo Carillo in Malibu. We love the variety on this quiet beach-sand, rocks, tidal pools, surfers, big waves, and all kinds of little places to explore. Playing in the waves. My favorite quote from Emma was: "I have so many memories from this trip, I can't store them all! One sidenote- remember how we had to pack up our wet tent in Yosemite? It was wonderful to be back in Pasadena again. In a way, it seemed li...

The Reichanadter Journey: July 2013
http://the4racks.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 16, 2013. The kids and I got to spend a week with my parents at one of our favorite places in the world, Little Eden, in Onekama, MI. Since we live in the city, I really appreciate the times the kids get to just live in their swimsuits, going from one water activity to the next! Good times for bonding with Grandma Jan! Emma took good care of this sweet birdie one day. She literally held him all day long and looked for worms to feed him. She's a nurturer! Love, love this place! I'm married t...
