...the boys and more: November 2011
http://5boysrock.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The boys and more. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Some of my favorite things. Last week I was able to paint our kitchen. I have been waiting to do this for over a year now. I had to wait for our door to be put in, trim to be switched out etc. Construction has such a domino effect! Scott helped me arrange this area. It serves as a buffet table/coffee area. In the past I've stacked the cabinets but last week we had a thought to separate them. We also hung this verse. My Shiny Bright glass balls. Last week I h...

Two weeks ago, on the same day, one of our friends offered us Red Sox tickets for a huge discount and my former employer got me Red Sox tickets for my birthday! After not having seen a Red Sox game the whole four years we were out here, suddenly we had two games to attend! May 22, 2011 at 9:54 PM. But still move back. PLEASE! May 24, 2011 at 5:25 PM. Ornamental Dandelions: March 2010
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 18, 2010. So very rarely does spring break correspond with actual Spring in Indiana. However, this week, while I am on vacation at home from work and school, God has seen fit to give 60' temps and gorgeous, beautiful blue skies and sunshine. I spent today walking and sunning myself in a local park (Holliday, thank you Kristin and Jeff and Ade for the find ;). So good to just sit and breathe, with nowhere to be, no schedule to keep. Ornamental Dandelions: Course Correction
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2010/02/course-correction.html
Friday, February 19, 2010. Yay, I'm not going to be a double major! I thought the only way I could get the teaching certification and studio experience I wanted/needed was to double major in studio art and art education. I figured I could do it part time, it would just take me longer (hence the 40th birthday finish goal). Is God good or what? That means I can take a General Studio major, which will allow me to take pretty much whatever I want, and get all kinds of experience in all kinds of mediums, whic...

Ornamental Dandelions: February 2009
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 1, 2009. Be careful what you wish for. 160;alas, i had a LOT of ice packed in my wheel wells, so had to run over to the mechanic's on thursday to get it chipped out (30 minutes and $40 bucks later). . Anyway, it's beautiful in southern indiana right now, the sun is out, the sky is blue, the snow is gorgeous (tho', predictably, melting) and the temp is in the 30's - heatwave! Ornamental Dandelions: Fall '09 - Progress continues
http://ornamentaldandelion.blogspot.com/2010/02/fall-09-progress-continues.html
Friday, February 5, 2010. Fall '09 - Progress continues. Here are some of my best pieces from last semester. This still life is an homage to my love of story and reading, and the art of Chris Van Allsburg. The portrait is of my classmate Erin and represents some hard-fought-for progress in drawing! Btw, when the model doesn't show up, you draw each other :). This one requires a little explanation. it's a (conceptual) walking stick, a wooden. February 6, 2010 at 2:29 PM. The Sweet and Salty Life. View my complete profile. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Spring Break Day 3 - Just Chillin. Hey friends, today we are tuning in from our next destination where the temperatures here are well below zero and the only dinner served is that of which you catch! When we first arrived, we had to build our own igloos. Sleeping on ice blocks sure is hard on the back! By the time we finished we were absolutely starving! What, no room service? Wow, fresh tuna sure does make a good sandwich.
