Ok facebooker pals and gals out there, mr montana miller. Is in need of some desperate help in the form of vote to get him into the pisgah mountain race for free. rumor is, his cat is very upset at the closeness of the race - and he has personally promised me a couple of worn out chains and an old saddle if he wins. Both those last facts may not actually be facts, but he does ride a single speed pretty fast, so get yer vote in for a single speed freak. you can get your vote in at facebook HERE! I chased ...

Two 2's and OH states mention in CX mag. This past weekend was the latest of NEO cross race series, a double weekend hosted by Brett Davis. This was the "mandatory" Halloween costume day - show up without a costume and you get a 30 minute penalty. Needless to say, everybody came in some sort of costume. I opted for the Green Lantern. Got there early and decided to take a spin around the course and check it out - like I have done every year for the past 5 years. I slowed and made it, others did not. With ...

Asheville Janes: The Palmetto Trail
http://ashevillejanes.blogspot.com/2012/04/palmetto-trail.html
Thursday, April 05, 2012. I can't remember how I stumbled on the Palmetto Trail in South Carolina, but I did. Somehow it found me, and things worked out from there. I can't explain it, and won't attempt to, it kind of makes sense to me, and the mysteriousness surrounding it, is good enough. They dropped me off and I made my way through the city, over the bridge and out to my campsite for the night. I stopped by the Trek Concept Store to say hey to Ben Gruber. N: Who are you? Me: I'm Stephen, who are you?

Amanda Carey: May 2011
http://amandarileycarey.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 22, 2011. After Syllamo's, Nate and I drove a quick 11 hrs to visit friends in Gainesville, GA. I got a few rides in at the Chicopee Trails, Nate got a motor-powered day in at a place called Moto Mountain and we all had a great time. From there we headed up to Brevard, NC to spend a week relaxing and riding, riding and relaxing in no particular order. After the Pisgah Mountain Bike Stage Race. Also, going back and forth from 29" to 26" wheels has been a non-issue for me. To me, bikes are ...

Amanda Carey: June 2011
http://amandarileycarey.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 28, 2011. I'm totally digging the being-at-home groove. I'm getting a lot done, doing some great training rides and enjoying summer in the Tetons. Although summer is typically about 6-8 weeks long, when it finally arrives it's worth it. Summer in the Tetons is pretty darn magical. Some single track is finally drying out on both sides of the Tetons. I've definitely been getting my fill. I've also done a little.okay, a lot.of lawn mowing. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. When I was unpacking to repa...

Amanda Carey: Looking back at TSE
http://amandarileycarey.blogspot.com/2011/06/looking-back-at-tse.html
Friday, June 10, 2011. Looking back at TSE. After 35 hours on the road, it sure feels good to be home.although it is currently 34 deg. and dumping snow. Good thing it's a rest week! Stage 3: first day in the leaders jersey and the first day I put significant time into the field. After having a week to think about my recent adventure and overall win at the Trans-Sylvania Epic Stage Race. It's hard to know where to begin. Do I give a blow-by blow account of each stage? Hmmmmmm. Hard to know. 1hr TT. Ro...
