Tuesday, November 29, 2011. This year, Hannah and Tyler hosted Thanksgiving at their new diggs, and she set up an awesome table for the kids! There was playdough for everyone, and a game on each plate, and they could draw on the tablecloth with provided crayons. Also, props for the plates being big enough for foods to "not touch". :). Friday, November 11, 2011. On Wednesday I had my 20 week ultrasound. We found out the sex of our little bean! Would you like to guess what we're having? Big, puffy pillows.

Saturday, March 31, 2012. Our Little River Jane. She was born on Monday, at 11:17. 8 lbs 3 0z. 20 1/4 inches long. About 6 hours of labor, my first epidural (oh HEAVEN that was AMAZING! Every time I see my doctor, I like him more and more. He was fantastic, the nurses were great, the anesthesiologist was a superstar. Saturday, April 07, 2012. Babies all smell the same. Perfect. I wonder if that's what heaven smells like? At the end of the day I also smell - like sour milk. Baby girls can have a blowout out the back AND the front of the diaper. At the same time. Having a newborn snuggle up to your shoulder and konk out is pretty much the best. thing. ever. It's incredibly hard to put one down when they are sleeping. so much more fun to sit and stare at them than to accomplish anything around the house. A Dress A Day.

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Finally, a friend party;). Brooks had been waiting for a "friend party" for quite a while. For some reason it never seemed to work out or be the right timing. His 7th b-day, though, finally changed that. Admittedly, it was probably not a conventional birthday party. In fact, B's awesome older siblings really ran the whole thing. They taught Brooks and his friends how to make paper Chinese lanterns. Then Porter and James organized a game of soccer. Brooks enjoyed some presents!

We hadn't been there since the boys were little, and between the parking lot scammer and all the interesting people (girl in a very ornate leather muzzle probably wins the prize) I think it was quite an education for them. In line at Peroshky Peroshky (kinda a family tradition). Didn't go on it. But it does look pretty out by the water. All of them .

Friday, April 18, 2014. Stand in holy places. Why is it that everything seems to happen all at once instead of spaced out in nice little bite-sized segments? An a unavoidable fact of life I suppose. In just the first several days of July- give or take a bit, we drove to and from Utah (and played a lot in between), hauled James daily to scout camp, traveled to/spoke at our stake youth conference (youth group weekend event), celebrated our 14-year anniversary (post to follow), and who knows what else.
