Runs with Scissors ... and a Sword: Hello, Birthday, My Old Friend...
http://runswithsword.blogspot.com/2015/07/hello-birthday-my-old-friend.html
Runs with Scissors . and a Sword. Random musings from the second half century. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Hello, Birthday, My Old Friend. As for the day, I'm not at all sure how to interpret The Washington Post. Horoscope's "if today is your birthday" item. In case you don't get or read the Post. If you are attached, you will be sharing more of yourselves with each other. Sounds like a pretty ordinary year to me, but ordinary can be good. So can adventures, but they run more of a risk than ordinary does.

knit wrong, purl wrong: August 2007
http://knitwrongpurlwrong.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Knit wrong, purl wrong. In which I dig up the knitwrongs of history, and make a few mistakes of my own. Wednesday, 29 August 2007. Knitwrong is taking an enforced absence from the internet in order to effect the sanity-shattering relocation of the Webbo family from from Sheffield to Bath. By Sunday. (And I know that this is not so much an "announcement" as a "statement of self-evident fact", but I thought I should put some gloss on the cryptic pronouncements of the last post.). On a Farm in Gascony. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Archive for February, 2010. On February 25, 2010 7 Comments. So, here we are at my new (blogging) home. I hope to update this blog much more regularly than before, and now I no longer feel constrained by the name of the old blog, that should be easier to do. I see I last posted on the old blog. In November 2008 is it really that long ago? At the end of January last year we were caught in the path of Hurricane Klaus. We buried him next to the lake o...

On a Farm in Gascony. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Archive for July, 2010. Posted in Life in France. On July 21, 2010 2 Comments. Currently enjoying the long and lazy days of summer. A life lived more outdoors than in, seeking respite in the shade from the fierce heat in the middle of the day, and basking in the balmy warmth of summer evenings spent with friends, a BBQ and plenty of local wine. Our first trip, with my parents, was to the Cirque de Gavarnie. A UNESCO World heritage site. The pat...

When I was growing up back in the 1970s I was one of those pony-mad little girls. I remember entering every “Win a pony” competition I could in the various pony related magazines I devoured (what were the publishers thinking running competitions like that? I don’t get to ride as often as I would like as both Fran and I lead busy lives, but every so often, I play ...

Kath's Krafty Kreations: April 2011
http://kathskreations.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 06, 2011. There are many reasons to 'Stop and Look' the main one I'd say is when crossing the road as part of our hectic lifestyles. Sometimes the world around us has plenty to offer when we simply stop and look. My time lately has been taken up with an awful lot of sewing and very little knitting at all. The main culprit has been this:. And as such I've noticed very little else. If you catch my drift. So I made the time today to Stop and Look and saw with fresh eyes how everything has d...

Friday, March 18, 2011. Spring is in the Air. And doesn't it make a difference? Fallen off - it left such a gap as well as such a huge pile of leaves. Out came the rake and once they were gone there was plenty of other emerging plants revealed. With the addition of some new plants relocated from elsewhere in the garden such as bluebells, cowslips and chocolate foxgloves I can at least be promised some colour and interest later on. And I've a month to make it in. plenty of time? Wednesday, March 02, 2011.
