Time management.Does that really exist for teachers? I'm beginning to feel that as much as I WANT to be completely organized and ahead of the game, I'm just constantly falling behind! My to-do list is miles long and I'm bothered that I can't ever seem to be ahead! And I look at my colleagues and wonder how they seem to have everything under control. Even THEY tell me that they struggle and STILL struggle with an ever-expanding list. So does time management actually exist in this world of teaching?

Went skiing with a bunch of friends this past weekend. . it was family day long weekend for us. . .a lovely alberta only holiday :) all was well until i was run over by an out of control snowboarder! She was all too apologetic. . and i barely remember being hit and getting up. .she helped me through the process . .even lifting my foot to put back in my ski. . yes, it was a doozie! Here's a picture of my lovely faux engagement ring. Doesn't it look real? If my future husband is reading this, the ring is entirely TOO HUGE and CAN NOT be considered good stewardship. Food, glorious food. Here are some pictures from lunch on May 20. A couple of them look nearly professional! Crudités with Sesame Dip. Avocado and Sun-dried Tomato Crostini. Three varieties of Hummous an assortment of Crackers and Chips. Roasted Spiced Squash Soup and Spinach Pesto Bread. Vegetable Quiche, Seven-Vegetable Tagine and Saffron Couscous. I have runner's legs? I ran 12.45k this morning. Can I just say that I love my running group? It's so much nicer to have to a group around when I'm struggling through runs like today. Even though I ended up doing the last segment on my own, I kept going because I knew that half of the group was going another way, and we'd meet up eventually, and that the speedy group would be looking out for me. The other good habit that I'm reviving is eating well. And that includes a food journal (groan). But it does help. I'm conscious of what I am eating and from which category of food. Drinking water like it's going out of style. This one has me running to the bathroom every hour and a half or two hours, and for a teacher, that's a bit much. Especially when my students have limited opportunities to go. So I'm trying really hard to avoid being a hypocrite. But that just makes it worse! I am continually amaze...

I've just wasted a perfectly good afternoon by staying indoors. It's plus 7 Celsius and SUNNY! What was I thinking?
