September Jukepop Reading Party Review: Flocked – writeofpassagesite

https://writeofpassagesite.wordpress.com/2015/10/08/september-jukepop-reading-party-review-flocked

September Jukepop Reading Party Review: Flocked. The Jukepop Reading Party started during the SWP2015. I was behind in reading some of the brilliant serials in the competition and decided that in the final weekend I would binge read as many as possible. Several other authors joined me in this endeavour. We enjoyed it so much, some of us decided to keep it going every month and thus the Jukepop Reading Party was born! What is Flocked about? Well in Ryan’s own words:. WARNING: This review contains spoilers!

Creative Resolutions for 2017. Last year, I set myself some New Year resolutions that centered around my writing. So how did I do? I’ve colour coded the text – green text represents a resolution I kept, red represents one I didn’t. 1 Join a writing group. Check I did this one. I’m now vice-chair of the group as well. 2 Write at least one short story/flash fiction story a month. 3 Enter more contests. 5 Keep a writing journal. 7 Get out of my writing comfort zone. Oh holy hell did I do this! Personal grow...

The Jukepop Reading Party – writeofpassagesite

https://writeofpassagesite.wordpress.com/2016/03/10/the-jukepop-reading-party

The Jukepop Reading Party. During the SWP2015 I decided I would bulk read as many of the entries as I could (I had previously been tied up with my own entry). The idea caught on and thus the JPRP was born! With that in mind, I want to spread the word and get as many people as possible involved with the JPRP! To help that along I thought I would clarify exactly what the JPRP is and what you should do if you decide to join in. Q What is the JPRP? Q Are there any rules? Q: When is the JPRP? A: Quite simply ...

September Jukepop Reading Party Review: Keep Walking. I might not have gotten through as many serials as I hoped in this months reading party, but what I did manage was a real treat. One of the serials I had the privilege to read was The Chronicles of TearHa: Keep Walking. By Aden Ng. So what is it about? The official Jukepop blurb says:. Lucinda Baerrinska, Joashden Stalewaver, and Jacqueline Fertilans have a long road ahead of them. Their destination? Can they rely on each other to survive? There were ...

Is mandatory; growing up. Wednesday, December 29, 2010. I'm pretty sure that bowling is the most awkward sport ever. I even feel awkward calling it a sport. I even feel awkward when I say the word, "bowling." Bowling. Yuck. I'm not saying it isn't fun, because it is. I am saying that it's just. awkward. First off, I really want to meet the guy who thought up bowling. Why don't we take 10 weirdly shaped pieces of wood and throw a heavy ball at them and try to knock them over? That would be so much fun!

This is not my home…. The Veil is Removed. The Veil is Removed. And we, who with unveiled faces. A reflection on 2 Corinthians, chapters 3-5, NIV). Today, the image of a veiled face is present in all the media. Yet, it’s nothing new. In some societies it’s legal to wear a veil, and illegal to not wear a veil. In others, it poses a threat to society if you wear a veil, making it illegal if you do, legal if you don’t. Veil as a Tent. 8220;The differentiation of consciousness typical of the contemporary era...

This, then, will be a floating post that I update as I read. I will not include the kid books that I read with the boys that I tutor. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The Horse and His Boy. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Out of the Silent Planet. The Fellowship of the Ring. The Return of the King. Letters From Father Christmas. Ms Found in a Bottle.

July 13, 2016. I think when you come to the place in life where you stop trying to please everyone else, and begin to take a look at Who you really are, then and only then will you finally become your authentic self. You stop comparing yourself to others. You care less about what others think of you, and more about what You think of you. What freedom. What peace. OH MY CHILD, MY DAUGHTER OF SONG. FINALLY, FINALLY YOU ARE WHERE YOU BELONG. STANDING IN LIGHT, STANDING IN GRACE. OPEN TO MERCY, OPEN TO PEACE.

Write of Passion - Learning to live out loud...

God’s greatest gift to me…. April 25, 2015. My Daddy’s birthday is coming up next week. He would have been 74 years old. If I listen hard, I’m sure I can hear him complaining about being old and still feeling like a 25 year old inside! I would have hated to tell him that surely if there was a 25 year old trapped inside THAT scrawny body, we could have seen him trying to fight his way out. That man was always skinny, most of his life he didn’t weigh more than a buck twenty-five! But who am I to judge?
