Teachers’ Corner | Writing Beyond Reality
https://writingbeyondreality.wordpress.com/teachers-corner
From process to finish. Skip to primary content. Rough drafts for revision…. A draft from Sally:. She had never wanted to be surrounded by the white picket fence. The crock pot kids and mini-van were the things she avoided with backpacking weekends, brewing in the mountains. Late nights, camp fires, stars, dark beers, they were what she lived for. Then his being took over and it became late nights and TV dinners alone with the HSN. Where there were fights silence emanated, only filled by the drone of...

From process to finish. Skip to primary content. Words, writing, creating, worlds. All too often writing stops short of reaching its reality. What might the world be if you wrote to publish? What medium would you choose from the infinite possibilities?

Life at the intersection…. From Prague to Praha. Sunday, 13 March 2016. Monday, 14 March 2016. Ancient rivers can still surprise, hidden behind high-rising hills, cobbled streets lined with boxy buildings, filled with butchers, bankers, bakers, chemists, cops and kings of Eastern European industry, or so the billboards say, braying and bragging in swaying flaps of script or so I imagine they say, so it only seems to me, because though I […]. me-crane/ Ukraine: April 2012
http://mecrane-ukraine.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 22, 2012. The cue to write this blog post came about twenty minutes ago, when I looked up to the sound of thunder and shouting and saw a dozen or so [make it ten or so—everything's metric here] kids playing football [by which I mean soccer] with a basketball. However, I need to be thinking ahead, too. So, I am looking for one job while doing another. I've put off the job search for some time, have vaguely browsed on occasion or clicked on links that appeared in front of me. Now, finding...

Sunday, December 15, 2013. December 1: A Day in the Life of the US/Ukraine. It’s taken me a while to sit down and write about December 1 – my parallel piece for the latest A Day in the Life of Ukraine. Just imagine – this is the fourth incarnation of this project! Despite an alarm set for EARLIER. I got up late on December 1. A reward, clearly, just like the General Tso’s tofu I’d had for dinner the night before. Each of the previous six years… Options? And here, the shift. I’d been following the n...

Sunday, December 1, 2013. A Day in the Life of Ukraine. You're right, I'm not in Ukraine at the moment. If I was, I'd be making careful note of everything, because today, December 1, is A Day in the Life of Ukraine. It's the cooperative writing project, where we ask everyone to tell the true story of his or her day. It's the fourth time this project has happened- can you believe it? And can you believe it's today? Submissions are due by December 7. Be safe, be strong, and tell your story -. Picture Windo...
