Monday, August 10, 2015. FIRST Day of FIRST Grade. We've got another first day of school in the books. There will be lots more but this was a cool one because it's got the word "first" two times in its title! Leo had a good attitude about going to first grade. And why shouldn't he? He goes to the sweetest school (Sweet Apple Elementary! He has the best teacher and he gets to ride the bus again. No reading, writing, math? Here is a photo dump from this morning's send-off:. Friday, August 29, 2014. At Leo's school the theme is "Purefoy is Awesome" which is a nod to the Lego Movie. In fact, on Thursday, as we were walking up to the school, they were pumping the song from said movie outside: "Everything is Awesome, everything is cool when you're part of a team…" Still in my head. Now I'm not going to expect this to last (although I hope it does! But so far Leo is very excited about school. Yesterday when I picked him up he said, "I had so much fun today! School is so cool!

Sunday, May 31, 2015. A Star Wars Summer. We went to Target to buy some floats for the pool last week and they went bonkers over these Stormtrooper kick boards. And then of course we couldn't pass up the Star Wars t-shirts.
