Writings from the Woods. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Bed rest. Those two words sound like heaven right now. Chasing after two toddler boys all day can be exhausting. So much so that even showering seems like a chore. Little did I know what sleepless nights lie ahead of me. If you know someone whom is on bed rest or you have experienced bed rest yourself, I urge you to pick up the book "Beating Bed Rest". Sunday, September 15, 2013. Waiting On You Lord. Writings from the Woods: Waiting On You Lord

http://www.writingsfromthewoods.blogspot.com/2013/09/waiting-on-you-lord.html

Writings from the Woods. Sunday, September 15, 2013. Waiting On You Lord. It seems like whenever I catch up with a friend or family member, I am immediately asked "what's going on with the adoption? It seems like it would be so easy to wait on The Lord, but you see, I like to tell God when and how things are to happen.and He listens, all the while showing me His plans are always better. Always. Writings from the Woods: May 2010

http://www.writingsfromthewoods.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Writings from the Woods. Monday, May 24, 2010. One down.two to go! I am officially done with my first tri-mester which puts my heart at ease. I am continuing to thank the Lord every morning for allowing this surprise to happen. I still find myself thinking back to all the doctors that told me having kids would be a struggle.I guess they don't know my God. :). Now that the first tri-mester is over I am beginning to want to know the gender more and more everyday! I want to start planning and shopping!

Writings from the Woods: Adoption: Answering the Call

http://www.writingsfromthewoods.blogspot.com/2013/05/and-then-there-were-five.html

Writings from the Woods. Thursday, May 9, 2013. Adoption: Answering the Call. We care for orphans, not because we are rescuers. We care for orphans because we have been rescued."-David Platt. Amazing words. Words that will forever be etched into my soul. We are all orphans and because of Jesus Christ, we now have an eternal father in heaven. We are indeed the rescued. We are trusting in The Lord and know that He has planned a child for us, and we cannot wait to meet him/her! May 23, 2013 at 3:19 PM.

Writings from the Woods. Monday, September 13, 2010. Two down.one to go! I am officially in my third tri-mester-woo hoo! Things are going well. I am still tired at night.my days consist of teaching, sleeping, and watching football and reruns of the New Jersey Housewives. Not really feeling myself lately, I am attributing that to hormones and the fact that I have a bowling ball for a stomach now. I have pics from the 3D sonogram and will post them as soon as Rob scans them into the computer! We have two s...

Monday, April 22, 2013. Next month my baby boy turns TWO! Sunday, April 21, 2013. So, as many of you know I left full-time public school teaching at the end of the last school year. I knew when I left that I would not come back to teach in that environment. There were many reasons for my departure:. Blog In fact, I am thinking of taking down the blog. I can do a lot more through my Facebook. Page and it seems as though more people follow me there than on my blog or Twitter. Anyways, I'm excited about...

Friday, December 6, 2013. November is always a hard month for me filled with ups and downs. The beginning of the month is hard because it marks the anniversary (is that the right word? Scoring a parking Groupon for $35. This is seriously awesome considering how much it costs us to park our car while we're gone. The downside was that the lot was not well-lit and the company was kinda shady. They picked us up in a limo when we returned from Philly. Going to the liquor store with my family members! Soup Kitchen: June 2013

http://cookingwiththecampbells.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 20, 2013. Once a week, I try to cook a meatless meal for my family. This usually occurs on Monday (thanks, Foodbabe. But I'm happy just to get it in one day a week. The end of May and the beginning of June was a roller-coaster time for our family. We experienced many highs and lows. We had visitors, we traveled, we cried and we celebrated. We also ate a lot of fast food. We ate a lot of bad food at restaurants. We ate a lot of junk food at home. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and I've a...

Sunday, October 13, 2013. How I Know We're Soulmates. 1 We both love old homes. 2 We both love the terrible-twos. The terrible twos are terrible most days, but it's because there is a lot of learning going on. Learning on our part and Joely's. We love watching him learn something or figure out something. We love watching him attempt to be independent. This really is a magical age. 3 We believe in relevant consequences. 4 We love discounts. 5 We realize we're works in progress. Soup Kitchen: February 2013

http://cookingwiththecampbells.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 3, 2013. I decided to provide some updates on Joel since he has changed so much in the past months and weeks. As much as I want to keep him a little baby, he reminds me that he's determined to be a little boy. 3 Joel refuses to use his "baby" flatware when eating. He now uses the same forks and spoons that mommy and daddy use to eat. 4 Joel loves to dance. I mean he dances anytime music plays. His dancing consists of stomping his feet, but it's still dancing. 5 Joel is in the toddler gro...

Saturday, November 9, 2013. That evening we attended one of the high school's interactive performance of HalloWonderland. Then we went to Raising Cane's for dinner to support the high school's student council. He was running around like a crack head! Saturday night we attended a Halloween party of Murad's old co-worker. Soup Kitchen: September 2012

http://cookingwiththecampbells.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Things for which I'm thankful. Luckily, Murad and I live far away from both of our families, so little Joel isn't exposed to all of that, but it still hurts. What do we tell him about why he doesn't see or talk to those people? I dunno. It's hard to know how to do what's right especially when everyone is doing wrong. Instead of focusing on that, I want to focus on the good I have in my life and what I get to share with Joely. 4 I'm thankful that my parents and brother loved ...

Writings from Torreon | Just another WordPress.com weblog

I have a backstory. July 24, 2009 · 8:23 pm. Mexico is not a movie. A few days ago 5 human heads were found in ice boxes along the road to Guadalajara. I suppose it’s one of those questions of life imitating art or vice versa. I suppose it would be a bit of both if the head boxes were found to have been arranged in some cosmic type pattern; the murderous combination of style and substance. Alas, the criminals of Mexico have far too little imaginationwhich is probably for the better. 45 minutes of silence.
