https://writingsfromtorreon.wordpress.com/2009/07/24/pig-flu-economy-vs-health-and-lessons-learned-from-the-korean-beef-protest
I have a backstory. The one where I feel bad for not appreciating the gifts I’ve been given. Mexico is not a movie →. July 24, 2009 · 8:21 pm. Pig Flu: Economy vs. Health and Lessons Learned from the Korean Beef Protest. Note: let me make this clear, this post is not about the spread of Pig Flu through eating pork. All reports indicate that eating pork will not give you the Flu. Instead, this post is about people putting economic concerns over health concerns. The protests in Korea, while said to be abou...

I have a backstory. Pig Flu: Economy vs. Health and Lessons Learned from the Korean Beef Protest. July 24, 2009 · 8:23 pm. Mexico is not a movie. A few days ago 5 human heads were found in ice boxes along the road to Guadalajara. It’s jarring how inside the box Mexican drug cartels are. People keep telling me how creative they are, but I disagree. How creative is it to figure out drugs need to go from here to there, let’s go. People are in our way, we will shoot them. 45 minutes of silence. 45 minutes of...

I have a backstory. The Lion has Taken Over the Circus: The Rise of Los Zetas. The one where I feel bad for not appreciating the gifts I’ve been given →. July 24, 2009 · 8:17 pm. Silly White Boy; Banda is for People with Rhythm. One form that I could never picture myself listening to by myself, yet seem to love anyway, is Banda. Below is a Banda music video. Let me describe for you, here, the plot to every single Banda video. Band plays music in exotic looking location. Members of the band no...Fill in y...

I have a backstory. Newer posts →. July 24, 2009 · 8:10 pm. Mexico: Come for the sun and beaches, stay to kick the crap out of some emo kids. Emo music is in reference to a musical genre that is emotional. Typically the emotion is melancholy or sadness. The distinction between Emo and other music however, is silly, as music by nature harbors emotions and a classification does not make this more or less true. Never the less, the definition exists. Damn you Emo Kid! Mr Matt, do you know Emos. They are ...

The one where I feel bad for not appreciating the gifts I’ve been given. I have begun to suspect that the gods of karma and I are not on speaking terms. If we were, I imagine our conversation would begin something like this. Hey, karma godwhat the hell man? Why does everything suck so much lately? To Which I’m sure he’d reply. My ka...

Writings from the Salamander Box
Writings from the Salamander Box. Thursday, August 4, 2016. Winds rush through leafy treetops. Back and forth, sway, bend. The song of leaves fills my soul. Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Which is the face I present today? Strong, tender, angry, sad. My hand hesitates with so many choices. I hope it lets kindness win. Tuesday, May 10, 2016. I wanted to call you today, even though I knew you would not answer. It's then that I allow myself a moment to pretend I could call and check to see how you're doing. It is...

Writings from the Old South
Writings from the Old South. Being a raised Son of the New South, I grew up in the lore of the Old South. Although the history of the Old South is littered with the misery and injustice of slavery, the culture has a politeness and refinement that carries to the New South. Join me on my exploration of enlightenment of the Old South Poetry. Note: This is intended to be a weekly posting. Friday, March 6, 2009. SONG OF THE CHATTAHOOCHEE. Out of the hills of Habersham,. Down the valleys of Hall,. Abide, abide,.

Writings From The Wok | Ramblings of haphazard Asian cooking, recipes and travel reviews
Writings From The Wok. February 16, 2014. Would you like a pint of Bubble Tea? Bubble Tea, Milk Pearl Tea, Boba Tea, whatever you call it, this is creamy sweetened tea (served hot or cold) with delicious, round chewy balls at the bottom. Whenever I went to Taipei, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, or anywhere in Asia, sampling their local stores and chains of bubble tea like Chatime. Summer will soon be making its way around the corner (possibly). And at around 3.70 a cup each time, I decided to tr...1-2 t...

Writings from the Woods
Writings from the Woods. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Bed rest. Those two words sound like heaven right now. Chasing after two toddler boys all day can be exhausting. So much so that even showering seems like a chore. Little did I know what sleepless nights lie ahead of me. If you know someone whom is on bed rest or you have experienced bed rest yourself, I urge you to pick up the book "Beating Bed Rest". Sunday, September 15, 2013. Waiting On You Lord. It seems like it would be so easy to wait on The Lor...

I have a backstory. July 24, 2009 · 8:23 pm. Mexico is not a movie. A few days ago 5 human heads were found in ice boxes along the road to Guadalajara. I suppose it’s one of those questions of life imitating art or vice versa. I suppose it would be a bit of both if the head boxes were found to have been arranged in some cosmic type pattern; the murderous combination of style and substance. Alas, the criminals of Mexico have far too little imaginationwhich is probably for the better. 45 minutes of silence.
