There’s only one known copy in existence, a hand illustrated version on beige construction paper that looked like it was reconstituted from scraps of kleenex. It was the kind of paper that fell apart with three or four strong-armed rubs from a hard pink eraser held in a tight fist. You won’t find my earlier works on Amazon.com. Newer posts →. After all that had happened. September 11, 2011. Today, every media outlet will flow with stories and song and testimony. I could tell you exactly where I was that day, but it wouldn’t matter. What is important is that on the same day I watched images of fire and collapse span the television screen, over and over, I felt the movements of my yet-to-be-born son for the very first time. Like a golf ball. I thought, as he did flips from one side of my stomach to the other. Wanted: Time to Write.
