熱波がきて毎日35℃の猛暑日が続いていたのですが、最近は30℃程度の夏日になって暑さは収まっています。それにしても今年の夏は暑いなぁ。というわけで、暑気払いに、お馴染みのウォーリングフォードの「よろしく」です。月に1度くらいの割合で通っていますよ。まずは、この日のお勧めのイカごろ焼き$16です。イカのわたと身を一緒に焼いてありますよ。イカのわたを調理した肴を出しても、北米では日本人以外は注文しないと思われますが、結構出ているみたいで、驚きですな。もう一品は、今が旬の近海物の紅鮭を使ったサーモンフライ$18ね。今年はワシントン州近海は海水温が上がってしまうエルニーニョの影響で漁がいまいちだといううわさもありますが、旬の紅鮭はうまいなぁ。食事はカニ・チラシ$18です。ダンジネスクラブがたっぷりのってうまいなぁ。大葉がアクセントになっていい感じです。 1913 N 45th St. 10万人が集まるフェスティバルの影響なのか、天寿司にいつもは空いている時間に行っても、結構混んでいてびっくりなんだ。注文したのは、バターミルクパンケーキのハーフサイズ$5.50です。1...8037 15th Ave NW.
