Summer of Short Rows | YarnBOB

https://yarnbob.wordpress.com/2015/08/14/summer-of-short-rows

My adventures with yarn and a pair of sticks. Summer of Short Rows. August 14, 2015. I’ve done quite a few projects that involved short rows this summer. They were intimidating at first, but I’ve enjoyed exploring the different techniques for short row shaping. With the Audrey Cardigan. I learned German short rows. I think this is my favorite short row technique because it is easy, minimally visible, and you don’t need to pick up any wraps. Here’s the video tutorial from YouTube. Now, as I knit on my Lila.

I also finished another cowl that I had been working on (it’s blocking now). And, after getting through a few quick projects over the weekend, I’ve decided to cast on for another sweater: Lila top down. By Carrie Bostick Hoge. Quick Weekend Knit: Prim Hat. My adventures with yarn and a pair of sticks. Reflecting: on being “busy” and “finding the time”. November 8, 2016. I bring my projects everywhere with me. If I have a wait (which I do every day since I commute on the ferry), I knit. I am fortunate to have a husband who is supportive of my craft. But, in general, he does not leave all of the household chores for me to do, so I do get more time to work on projects. FO Friday: Hat, shawl and yarn. October 28, 2016. Finally, a BIG project! October 14, 2016.

My adventures with yarn and a pair of sticks. WiP Wednesday: Lila Sweater. August 12, 2015. This week, I’ve been knitting pretty monogamously on my Lila Sweater. I’ve gotten the sleeves separated, and now I am knitting a lot of stockinette. I’m so excited for this sweater! Work in progress Wednesday. FO Friday: So much fringe. FO Friday: So much fringe | YarnBOB

https://yarnbob.wordpress.com/2015/08/08/fo-friday-so-much-fringe

My adventures with yarn and a pair of sticks. FO Friday: So much fringe. August 8, 2015. I finished the knitting on my Farmhouse shawl. Last Friday, but I was putting the fringe off a little. Instead of letting it go for months un-fringed, I decided that it was best to just get it done. Today, I sat down and cut hundreds of strands today, and I finally finished the shawl. It needs blocking, but it terms of all the yarn-y bits, it is done! WiP Wednesday: Beginnings of a sweater. August 8, 2015 at 6:11 am.

On The Importance of Philosophical Frameworks in Politics. 140310 Author: Phani Filed In: Ethics/Political Philosophy. Humans are social by nature. We live in groups. What, then, ought to be the relationship between the group and the individual or even between individual members? How do individuals co-ordinate group activity? Democracies, more than other forms of government, are prone to the quality of dialogue because of their very nature. If I were to make a utilitarian argument, I would suggest, c...
