The Ninja Knitter: July 2006
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 19, 2006. Here I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Mostly. Fanmile: one the best innovations of this World Cup - giant screens set up in town so that anyone without a ticket can still enjoy the fun. And enjoy we did. I don't think that the pictures can really show how many people were really there.the world really does come to party at the World Cup. Spain vs. Saudi Arabia. Some friendly Italian boys after the USA-Italia game on the Fanmile:. Posted by Ninja Knitter at 4:00 PM.
The Ninja Knitter: June 2006
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 28, 2006. This is a fairly short post from Germany, namely because of two reasons - none of the Effing keys are in the right place on this keyboard, and secondlz.I'll be home in a few days and will have pics to show for it all. 3 Mr Munchkin has gone very Eurotrash. Pictures to follow soon. Posted by Ninja Knitter at 5:32 PM. Links to this post. View my complete profile. Patterns coming as they get scribbled out. HRM - Knitting Out Loud. Order of the Stick. The Ninja Knitter: May 2006
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 25, 2006. Holy crap on toast, it's been awhile since I posted. But it's been a busy month. My parents came up for a visit and we took them to Lawrencetown Beach. This is why I love living in Nova Scotia . it really is breathtaking out here when the weather's nice. Hum hum hum . what else. We got a canoe for Mr. Ninja's birthday. I have survived through 3 canoe trips already. I have no more to say on the topic. In knit news, have been busy:. Phew Now you're all caught up. Links to this post.
The Ninja Knitter: August 2006
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 25, 2006. So, I finally took my first real breath on Monday after the in-laws left. It honestly feels like months since I've been able to just . be. But at least the past month let me learn some things about myself and this life I'm leading. My in-laws are insane. Perfectly nice people, but insane. My father-in-law is Red Green. Working on the company logo, the sample shibori bag is being knitted as we speak and the pattern's almost done too. Wish me luck. I can never remember's who's wher...

Sunday, February 26, 2006. You Are a Warrior Soul. You're a strong person and sometimes seen as intimidating. You don't give up. You're committed and brave. Truly adventuresome, you are not afraid of going to battle. Extremely protective of loved ones, you root for the underdog. You are picky about details and rigorous in your methods. You also value honesty and fairness a great deal. You can be outspoken, intimidating, headstrong, and demanding. What Kind of Soul Are You? Links to this post. Oh, how true.
The Ninja Knitter: September 2006
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 27, 2006. I finished this awhile ago, but for some odd reason, Blogger's being an ass about my photos these days. This is a baby kimono for Mynfel's new little girl - it'll be a bit big on her for awhile, but at least it's stretchy and will fit for awhile. On the needles atm:. 1) 1 lone green skiing sock for a Christmas present in Cascade 220 supahwash. 2) 1 itty bitty blue mitten for Mr. Munchkin. 3) Version 2.0 of the Shibori bag. To be knitted for that dreaded holiday season:.
The Ninja Knitter: November 2005
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 24, 2005. Curse you, ye gods of yarn. That carefully drawn circle would be an indication that the gods of yarn are having a good chuckle somewhere at my expense. Those are slippers destined to be felted into a Christmas gift. I suppose that this is my yarn karma paying me back for the purchase of a new yarn swift and ball winder (What? Did you *see* my last post? Revenge on a dirty capitalist knitter. Posted by Ninja Knitter at 5:41 PM. Links to this post. Thursday, November 17, 2005.
The Ninja Knitter: April 2006
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 27, 2006. I probably *could* have fit that llama in. Lordy, lordy.I've been lazy. Seriously, ever since the sun started shining somewhat reliably again, me and adult brain functionality seem to have parted ways. I've been spending my days outside blowing bubbles, finding the single solitary puddle on the playground (and watching Mr. Munchkin stomp in its ankle-deep muddy goodness), and attempting to tame a garden. Which hasn't been touched in 30 odd years. Have been similarly productive.
The Ninja Knitter: December 2005
http://ninjaknitter.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2005. And what have we learned? These are the results of yesterday's knitting adventures. As you can see, there are several lessons to be learned here:. 1) Do NOT swatch in the dark. You will not care about dropped stitches.leading to oddly shaped "squares" which are fairly useless as gauge swatches. 5) I can be such a royal dumbass sometimes. And now I'm going to take a page out of Morgan. Tune of the moment: Hammer - Die Fantastischen Vier. Posted by Ninja Knitter at 10:41 AM.

Yarn Gathering's blog
Sunday, 6 June 2010. I saw these on Woolly Wormhead's blog and I thought it would be a good bit of fun for myself and the girls to show off which badges we've earned and explain why. In no particular order, I will start off. OK, so I've not had a pattern published in Vogue, but I was mentioned in the Spring/Summer one as Knit Camp is this summer's hot ticket, and Knit Camp is referenced in the current issue too. Good enough, me thinks, for me to earn this badge. Lace knitting. Another enough said! And me...
Yarn Gauge Guide | Welcome to Yarn Gauge Guide
The Yarn Gauge Guide. Anyone who has been knitting for any length of time has found that the standard range gauge given for a yarn is never accurate. Differences in fiber content and the way that a yarn has been manufactured can cause the gauge of yarn to vary greatly between each yarn of the same weight. So What is the Yarn Gauge Guide? When Can I Start Using the Site? We know you're excited by this and so are we! Other fun features we think you'll enjoy!
YARNGEAR: Knitting, Crochet, Spinning, Weaving, Looming, and Dyeing
YARNGEAR: Knitting, Crochet, Spinning, Weaving, Looming, and Dyeing. This is a jounal about my adventures with yarn. Monday, August 03, 2015. Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom for Card and Tablet Weaving. I hacked up my Cricket rigid heddle loom and its stand to create a continuous, advancing, circular warp. The warp is wrapped around the entire loom and the bottom bar of the stand to make approximately a 2 meter warp. The actual length depends on the angle of the loom in the stand. Alternatively, tie the ends o...
YarnGeek | geekin' on yarn, parenting, & whatever else comes up.
Geekin' on yarn, parenting, and whatever else comes up. Plus la change…. It is, roughly, the tenth anniversary of this blog. Oh, Internets. So many ponderings, so few recent postings. This past weekend, I attended the 2014 Maryland Sheep and Wool festival. This annual event is a marker of sorts for the calendar of my knitting life, and although I can’t attend every year, there is that mix of familiar and new each time I go that triggers a sort of fibery nostalgia. Brightest Witch of Her Age. Being on a b...

Yarngeek Musings and rantings of a yarn addict. Musings and rantings of a yarn addict. March 23, 2015. It’s been raining steadily here for about four days and it’s starting to wear on all of us a bit. There’s lots of things to go and do for indoor play, but outdoor play has been very limited. When my little guy was starting to melt down after a bout of play on the deck, I knew it was time for the 4pm smoothie. Do you know about the 4pm smoothie? It’s a twofer! 4 bananas, frozen. 1-2 cups frozen pineapple.
