Monday, August 9, 2010. Heidelberg Triathlon, 2010. On the 1st of August about 500 sportsmen and women took part in the 18th annual sport competition. Participants ran 10 km and took 32 km-long bicycle ride to show Heidelberg their physical strength and prove themselves to be ‘iron’ men. Due to the weather conditions, this year’s event did not include swimming, which normally is the part of the competition triathlon, making it more a biathlon than anything. Still pretty tough. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. I told you….I might actually get more than one blog entry out this year. Now, that is hope! A friend and I were chatting and the subject of hope came up, something she has been thinking about a lot lately. She had written the below, which I would really like to share as in many ways, it really does hit home. The politics aside…the important message is keep hope alive. We all talk about it…but do we really practice it? 8230;” And then we forward it on Facebook. And what is hope?

Yet Another Future History. Monday, May 6, 2013. Pathfinding: A step by step approach. Two things about pathfinding. Start with the simplest. It is hard to picture an optimal roue that will not start by minimizing distance through real space. I will start with that fairly simple cost function, then look at fuel and delta-v profiles. The problem of scale. Or something that takes more direct advantage of the nature of the map. Starting small in data terms. Links to this post. Friday, May 3, 2013. Velocity ...
