Take a piece of paper and draw a circle 7″ in diameter. Cut this circle in 1/2. this is your pattern. Pin this to the fabric (I used terry cloth for the inside and fleece for the outside) and cut out your pattern. If adding a ribbon to the top of the tent (makes it easier to grab), do it now. Turn right side out through the opening you left.

Students can learn a lot through taking care of chickens! The knowledge they acquire is cross-curricular and will stay with them for a lifetime as it is an authentic learning experience. Each crew starts by getting their handy clipboard and checklist! This really helps the kiddo's to be leaders of the crews. Our hens get pellets, scratch and scraps.

You Can Make This . . . Thursday, October 8, 2015. I can still sew! Strange and wacko event - I had a stroke in med-Sept. At the worst of it I couldn't talk and my right arm wouldn't move. But I was quickly treated with TPA which reversed the stroke! Turns out I have fibromuscular dysplasia which ultimately caused the stroke. ANYWAY, I was very sad at the thought of not sewing again. But I improved so much! Am expecting a full recovery! Hurrah for excellent nurses and doctors! Posted by Mary Anderson.
