Who is a Young Carer. The Dundee Young Carers Project (YCP) is based in Sotland and has been successfully working with young people since 1999. Our remit is to find hidden young carers and raise awareness of young carers issues. The current main funding bodies of the project are The Dundee Partnership and the Henry Smith Charity. The YCP is one of the services managed by the Dundee Carers Centre. I have managed to achieve the goal of understanding my mums illness and my personality has changed’.

Uarr; For Young Carers. What groups do YCP run? 8-10 Young Carers (YC) Group. 10-12 Young Carers (YC) Group. 12-15 Teen Carers (TC) Group. Young Carers (YC) Groups (8-10 and 10-12 Groups). These groups rotate on a weekly basis, with the 8-10 YC Group one week and the 10-12 Group the following week. Uarr; About the project. Who is a Young Carer. Young people may be referred to the project by a family member, school, social work, GPs, voluntary organisations and other agencies. Young person may also refer themselves to the project. If you would like to make a referral you can download one below, or contact the office on 200422 we will send you one. YCP Referral Pathway Map. Uarr; For Young Carers. All young people who take up services at the YCP participate in 1:1 support.
