Gluten free (and then some). Thursday, April 25, 2013. Last year I built a play kitchen for LMS for Christmas. This year I built her a dollhouse. I didn't have time to finish it before Christmas, but I decided that wasn't all bad. LMS could help me decorate the walls of each room if I didn't do it all first. I finally got it caulked and painted a month or so ago, and then we went to Michaels and picked out scrapbook paper to use as wallpaper. This step was completely unnecessary, but I love how it looks!

I've been busy working on various projects around the house, but the problem with that is that none of them are quite done yet, so it's hard to show the progress I've made. I've finally done enough work on our bedroom that I can post some photos, even though the room isn't finished yet. The white fuzzies under the bed posts are pieces of carpet that we stuck to the bottoms years ago to protect the wood floors of the house we were living in.

BBQ rubs usually have paprika in them, but paprika is made from peppers and I can't eat it, even in small amounts. Because of the lack of paprika and the presence of black pepper, this rub is a bit peppery instead of spicy. Adapted from a recipe found here. Other ideas are there as well). 6 Tbl brown sugar. 3 Tbl ground black pepper.

Initially I wanted to be done with kindergarten by Memorial Day so we could have the whole summer off. But then I reconsidered what our school schedule should be. A traditional 9 months on, 3 months off? I like the idea of not doing schoolwork for 3 months, but didn't like the idea of wasting time doing review in the fall.

I would have to agree- the days I spend some time on the treadmill I feel less nauseous for several hours after. Yay! Thankfully my doctor said I could keep running as long as it feels good, and it feels good, so I'll keep running as long as I can. Did you find that exercise helped you with morning sickness?
