To get home we cycled back to Sausalita and instead of climbing the massively long hill back up to the bridge we got the ferry across to the embarcadero near where the bikes had to be returned. While waiting in the queue for the ferry – huge and we weren’t able to get on the first one, we had the dubious pleasure of standing in front of the most annoying New Jersey family EVER! 5000 miles from Worcester. Yosemite or not Yosemite? February 25, 2014. Well, after careful consideration we decided not to go to Yosemite after Lake Tahoe. We wanted some sunshine and our final days to be spent chillaxing not hiking in snow shoes. Apparently cycling is not an option in winter! Almost 5,000 Miles to Surrogacy. Friday, February 21, 2014. I began pushing about 9:35. After pushing through a couple contractions the Dr told me that baby's heartrate kept decelerating from around 115 bpm to about 50 bpm with each contraction and recommended I breathe through the next contraction to give baby a rest. By the next contraction there was no telling me to rest, I HAD to push! I was in so much pain that I have mostly blocked that out of my memory already. Who wants to remember that pain?
